The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the Wanswert church. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we have used second-hand furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a pleasant living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden around it, a private front door and lots of privacy.

Within the fortified area, within walking distance of canals, windmills, and traditional buildings, you will stay in a two-story apartment. The apartment has two bedrooms with a sitting area, a modern kitchen with a fully automatic coffee machine and fresh coffee beans, a bathroom with a rain shower, and a southwest-facing roof terrace. Welcome to Villa Abbekerk! Built in 1875 by a famous doctor, this historic villa once hosted Paul Kruger and often Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. The spacious penthouse apartment (185 m²) is on the top floor and includes a private bathroom, living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and Dutch bedstee bed. (Sleeps 5) The apartment is currently being renovated and will be ready from July 1st. Photos shown are from other rooms in the villa and reflect the style of the space.

In the middle of the authentic village of Schiermonnikoog, you go back in time. You have your own terrace and entrance in front of our house. We enter through the back entrance. In the historic Klein Humalda farmhouse, we rent an attractive and spacious apartment for about 8 people. You have access to a large terrace, three bedrooms, sauna with plunge pool, foot baths, two showers and two sinks, separate toilet, kitchen and living room and private sports and play area (of 80 m2). The apartment is 10-15 minutes from Dokkum, the Wadden Sea, departure points to Ameland and Schiermonnikoog and the Lauwersmeer National Park.
