Welcome to our wonderful holiday home located in the beautiful town of Schoorl within walking bike distance of the forest the dunes and the sea. The house, completely renovated in 2020, is detached, has its own entrance, a small garden to the south with a cozy canopy. The cozy living room has French doors to the sunny terrace, an open kitchen with dishwasher and oven, one bedroom and a bathroom. There are 2 fine bicycles with gears for rent at the cottage.

We stayed as a family with our two children (3 and 6 years) for 16 days and felt very comfortable. The house is very nicely decorated and you really don't miss anything in the kitchen. The stairs are steep as in all Dutch houses, but that was no problem for the kids. In the garden we were able to park our bikes and the location is perfect to cycle to the beach or through the Schoorler dunes even with smaller children. Short way to a beautiful ice cream parlor and savings market. And another plus, there is a small playground for the children incl. Connection to the neighboring children (path leads over a small road). And there was always a parking space for the car. We will be happy to come back.

We had a great stay in the small but very cozy cottage — we were there for the second time. The new kitchen is superbly equipped, it really had everything you need. Everything very clean and well maintained. The host is friendly, easily accessible, provided us with all the important information and left a very nice welcome greeting. Parking is available down the street, which was absolutely fine for us. The place is quiet and ideal for those looking for a few relaxing days in nature. We will definitely be back!

There were three of us in Melissa's accommodation and the space was completely sufficient for four nights. The campsite is really nice, the toilet house quickly accessible and clean. We wouldn't have had to take a lot with us, as it was on site. For example, dish towel, dishcloth, dish soap, garbage bags, spices, toilet paper, … We had a lovely time, even if the weather wasn't so great.

The two of us had a very nice time in the apartment of Natascha and Richard. The very friendly reception with a nice welcome, the quiet and beautiful surroundings with vastness, grassland and animals, the sea and the dunes nearby, small nice places easy to reach by car... all this contributed to the fact that we enjoyed the time very much. We felt very comfortable in the apartment. It was quick to warm up when it got cooler. It is well equipped and nicely decorated. The large bedroom has only one window, through which little light comes in due to the roof overhang. But as a bedroom, it was great. We felt very comfortable overall.

We were very pleased. The property is very good! What may be important to know is that there is a wifi. However, the reception is not really sufficient for online meetings. If you have a break/vacation, that shouldn't be any problems! :-)

We (2 adults) felt very comfortable. We enjoyed using the small garden in the good weather. Here you can end the day completely relaxed. "De Schelp" is a good base for taking tours by bike/car and exploring the impressive area. The beaches are beautiful and easily accessible. We didn't miss anything in our getaway and would be happy to come back.
