Vacation rentals with lake access in Hambantota

Unsere Zeit in dieser Unterkunft war sehr schön! Die Lage ist traumhaft – umgeben von Feldern, einem See und Bananenstauden, ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen. Das größte Lob gebührt jedoch Rushan, der sich wirklich herzlich um uns gekümmert hat. Er hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt und seine Tante hat uns mit köstlichem Essen verwöhnt – das Essen war definitiv mein persönliches Highlight! Auch die von ihm organisierte Safari war super unkompliziert, und unser Guide im Park hat uns zu wirklich tollen Spots geführt. Der Pool war ebenfalls wunderschön, nur ein paar zusätzliche Liegen wären perfekt gewesen. Alles in allem eine absolute Empfehlung – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Als wir ankamen,hat uns die gesamte Familie sehr freundlich mit einem leckeren Obstsaft empfangen und ruckzuck war das Gepäck schon nach oben gebracht. Die Zimmer und die Küche sind im 1.Stock umgehen von einem tollen Garten mit allerlei Vogelstimmen.Wir waren immer beim Frühstück unten und die Familie hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Will man zum Strand oder in die Stadt kann man die 200 Meter zu Fuß zur Haustrasse gehen und ein Tuck Tuck anhalten, wenn man Glück hat erwischt man auch eines direkt vor dem Anwesen. Alles in allem supernette Gastgeber und ein wirklich tolles Anwesen

We had the best time in Ajith's amazing treehouse, which is built in and around a giant Mango tree. The treehouse itself is marvel and absolutely beautifully crafted. It feels spacious, yet cosy inside and we wanted for nothing. We loved spending time out on the deck watching beautiful birds and playful squirrels jumping through the trees and feasting on fruit that Ajith leaves for them. The property as a whole is beautiful and full of wonderful fruit and spice trees. Ajith is also a talented and passionate gardener and we had several conversations about about our shared love of gardening and botany. Ajith was a kind and friendly host, as was another gentleman who was always present to provide us with anything we needed or provide us with tips and advice for activities. They were so considerate, bringing mosquito coils or tea up into the treehouse for us. Also, the food we had for breakfast and dinner was exceptional, the best we have had in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We fell in love.

Staying in Treat Villa was an experience beyond anything. Chamii and his family take Sri Lankan hospitality to a whole new level. Nothing was any trouble. They catered, they provided, they were excellent company and they had interesting suggestions for activities with offers of help to make them happen. The peaceful villa is lovely to stay in and very well maintained. It would be a pleasure to return on a future visit.

We had a lovely stay at Mawella House! The house itself is beautifully decorated & very clean. Communication with Dinesh was easy & smooth! Chaminda is a great chef & always warmly welcomed us. The area around is super chill, with one of the most beautiful beaches a step away. Small paradise! Would definitely recommend. Thanks again for the warm stay!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Die Cabans waren wunderschön, sehr sauber und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Uns wurde einer super Safari organisiert. Wir hatten mit den 2 Tour Guids richtiges Glück. Und uns wurde ein super leckeres Frühstück mit auf die Safari geschickt. Die Mitarbeiter waren super lieb und freundlich. Wirklich sehr, sehr nette und zuvorkommende Menschen. Das Angebotene Abendessen hat uns sehr geschmeckt und die Portionen waren sehr groß und für uns fast zuviel. Auch das Frühstück war groß und sehr vielfältig. Wir haben die ruhige Lage sehr genossen und konnten total abschalten und entspannen. Es war perfekt für uns :)

Der Aufenthalt war schön. Die Unterkunft war wie auf den Bilder beschrieben. Wer gerne in der Natur ist, wird es hier lieben. Der Gastgeber ist auf unsere Wünsche umgegangen, war sehr hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation war unkompliziert. Es gab auch einen Parkplatz für unser Tuktuk.

After staying in 30+ Airbnbs over the past 3 years, we can easily say Nuwan’s place is the best. We loved having coffee on the private balconies (there are 2, 1 facing rice fields & the other the lake) while watching buffalo, toucans, peacocks & monkeys (who don’t bother you!). The space is HUGE, with plenty of areas to work. The air con is strong in the bedrooms, & they provide filtered water, so no need to buy plastic. Cleaning & washing are excellent. The location is epic, surrounded by stunning scenery, yet only 15 mins from the best beach(!) in Sri Lanka—Silent Beach. There are cooking utensils, veggies from the garden, & it’s 10 mins to town, but you can also order food from them (which we genuinely think is the best restaurant in Tangalle!). Finally, Nuwan, Piyumi, their funny, smart daughter Emly, & the grandparents are the kindest people—from rescuing baby peacocks to helping us tailor clothes, to watching fireflies. Just book it! We miss everyone + the dogs so much already.
