Treehouse vacation rentals in Hambantota

So far our most beautiful and cosiest accomodation in Sri Lanka. The elevated palm-leaf coverd huts located in a lovely garden with palm trees, pepper, different kinds of fruit and flowers at the edge of the lake is outstanding. The waterbuffalos are grazing in the water right next to the bungalow! We also were very happy with the safari organised by the host. Our driver Bindu always found a way to avoid the big crowd and had a unique sense for beeing at the right place on the right time without any rushing (as it seems to be common in Yala NP). Thanks to him we were able to see anything the park has to offer almost on our own.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful treehouse. The host is super nice and speaks English very well. He helped us to organise a Safari in the Yala Nationalpark, which was amazing! I totally recommend to stay & eat here :)

The treehouse is the most anticipated hotel for this trip to Sri Lanka, it was amazing after checking in, the treehouse was very beautiful, it was an unusual stay

We got unlucky with the weather and the abnormal horizontal rain proved a little too much for the tree house one night. It is a fabulous place though. It is in the middle of nowhere and you are so close to nature. Nandika's staff are really good and super friendly. They looked after us really well and organised everything for us. The safari they took us on was also really good. All up, highly recommended especially if you are looking for something a little different.

We loved our stay at hornbill river camp. the location is beautiful and the host was super kind and helpful. the host cooked for us and it was so delicious :)

Both Manuela and Gayan were splendid hosts. Very warm and hospitable and great to interact too. The Sri Lankan breakfast spread with homemade ingredients were absolutely delightful. Loved the vibe and being close to nature and with a host of trees and plants around its always serene. Manuela was very proactive and always super good to interact with. Special mention to their kid who we loved playing cricket & football with and talking too. Absolute smart chap. Lots of love to the family and highly recommend this place.

We had the best time in Ajith's amazing treehouse, which is built in and around a giant Mango tree. The treehouse itself is marvel and absolutely beautifully crafted. It feels spacious, yet cosy inside and we wanted for nothing. We loved spending time out on the deck watching beautiful birds and playful squirrels jumping through the trees and feasting on fruit that Ajith leaves for them. The property as a whole is beautiful and full of wonderful fruit and spice trees. Ajith is also a talented and passionate gardener and we had several conversations about about our shared love of gardening and botany. Ajith was a kind and friendly host, as was another gentleman who was always present to provide us with anything we needed or provide us with tips and advice for activities. They were so considerate, bringing mosquito coils or tea up into the treehouse for us. Also, the food we had for breakfast and dinner was exceptional, the best we have had in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We fell in love.

We had an incredibly special time here not only in the treehouse but with Manuela and her beautiful family. After a long time negotiating the backpacking trail with my 6yo son, my nervous system sighed as we walked into the beautiful compound. We immediately felt at home and were so well looked after. It’s a beautiful incredibly peaceful and very special place they have built here. We will never forget it xxx
