Hotel vacation rentals in Hambantota

Hands down the best place we have stayed in over our month we spent in Sri Lanka. Sadly, we stayed only one night but will gladly recommend this place for longer stays! The place is amazing, with quiet surroundings, immersed in jungle. Room is equipped with everything you need, and sparkling clean. The staff is very kind, attentive, and always helpful. The host himself cared for us very much, and is a true expert in running a hospitality business. Highly recommended!

This was our favourite place in Sri Lanka. The accomodation is stunning - right on the lagoon so you will see birds and animals right from your balcony. Chamin was the perfect host, his wife cooked us incredible food - Sri Lankan breakfast and an incredible BBQ of lagoon fish - which was one of the best meals of our whole trip. We also went to Bundala park for a safari - Chamin was an incredible host and spotted every animal - we saw 15 elephants, crocodiles, pelicans, monkeys and hundreds of tropical birds. We will definitely be coming back!

Put simply, we LOVED Isana: the unusual, airy, minimalist Japanese design, stunning location fronting onto such a pristine, unspoilt beach with (for our tastes) just the right level of activity to hold some interest and friendly faces without feeling remotely hectic, and absolutely divine food, made our stay feel wonderfully indulgent and relaxing. Tekla's cooking is, as we'd been told, incredibly good - she even allowed us into the kitchen to see how she put some of her curries together. It's not the cheapest place you'll stay, but it will no doubt be one of your favourites and most memorable. The beach puts others to shame in beauty and cleanliness and, although more comfortable seating for the beach and garden would have been welcome, the bodyboards meant there was little time for lounging around anyway!

Heerlijke stop over gemaakt hier. Werden warm ontvangen en er werd heerlijk gekookt. Ontbijt met uitzicht over het meer was heerlijk. Ook het zwembad was heerlijk.

Wir hatten eine Nacht in der Unterkunft gebucht und die Begrüßung war super lieb und freundlich. Wir wurden mit einem leckeren Bananen Smoothie empfangen. Man muss jedoch genau auf seiner Karten App schauen. Es kann passieren das man über Googl-Maps hinter das Haus geleitet wird. Jedoch muss man am besten einfach auf der Hauptstraße bleiben und dann findet man es schnell.

Die Gastgeberin ist so unglaublich lieb und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Sie kocht sehr leckeres Essen und organisiert alles was man braucht: Ausflüge, Taxi...Sie hilft wo sie kann und spricht gutes Englisch. der Strand ist nah an der Unterkunft und wunderschön ruhig. Rekawa ist noch eher unentdeckt und es gibt nicht so viele Touristen. Das Gelände bei der Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und sieht paradiesisch schön aus mit vielen Palmen und anderen Pflanzen.

Part of the Grand Udawalawae Safari Resort and very nice place it is surrounded by mature forest. Quiet and away from the main road. Restaurant and bar on site. Swimming pool was nice. Great staff.

We had a fantastic time at Kasun’s place! He arranged a safari for us and it was even better than we’ve expected it. You can never know which animals you can see, but we’ve seen a leopard, a sloth bear, elephants and so much more! The rooms are really nice as well and we even got take away breakfast for the safari! I can definitely recommend it :)

This house is between a beautiful long, wild beach and a lagoon. It has a pool, a bar, and a nice patio. It's very quiet and feels like a real local place. The host is friendly and speaks English well. It's more like a friendly guesthouse than a hotel. You are 5 min walk from the beach or the lagoon. Also in the surroundings worth noting the turtles watching center at Rekawa.

Our stay at Lakmal's place in Udawalawe was wonderful. The place is strategically located very near Udawalawe National Park. The breakfast that was prepared by Sajiwa and his wife, Karuma (I hope I get her name right) was excellent! Wonderful and yummy Sri Lankan cuisine. Sajiwa and Karuma were also very helpful and supportive to our needs. They were very attentive but still giving us enough privacy and independence. The room was sparkling clean and tastefully designed, with unique safari touch to the decor. We really recommend Lakmal's place for anyone visiting Udawalawe. Stuti Sajiwa and Karuma! Stuti Lakmal!

Cet hébergements était exceptionnel avec une personnel digne d'un hôtel 5 étoile. La plage en face de l'hôtel était déserte avec le lagon à 5 min à pied. C'est vraiment l'endroit idéal pour se reposer loin de tout. Nous avons eu la chance de passer une soirée au coin du feu sur la plage avec Sidath et son épouse qui était présent et c'était l'une de nos belles rencontres du Sri-Lanka.

Absolutely excellent hotel. Stayed in a group of 10 with 5 double rooms. All of which were immaculate, with excellent AC and amazing showers. The pool is great, the hotel organised Yala tours and got us a discounted rate and even made picnic breakfast for us to take. Could not sing it’s praises more. Would highly recommend.

Our family of five stayed at Tranquil Wild for two nights, and it just wasn't long enough! We loved the size of our room, with a mezzanine for the kids, and everything was clean and comfortable. The communal dining and outdoor spaces, along with the pool, were the perfect spaces to relax in nature, with books, games and outdoor toys too. The staff, in particular Amal, just couldn't do enough for us and are an absolute credit to the establishment. Anne too was communicative, and arranged safaris at both Lunugamvehera and Udawalawe for us at reasonable prices, the former with an excellent guide. I was so grateful to have one less thing to do whilst trip planning! We'd absolutely recommend Tranquil Wild as a must do whilst in Sri Lanka.

We loved our stay at Blue Wild. The villa was amazing, huge airy space with a fab private pool. We stayed for 2 nights and found plenty to do in the local area. We enjoyed a safari at Yala park, and also really appreciated that we had only a short walk to the local village where there was a beautiful lake to walk around (we did a boat safari on the lake) and also plenty of local restaurants and shops. We had room service for dinner the first night and ate out in the village the second night. We also had a lovely room service breakfast each day which we enjoyed at our pool while watching the water buffalo in the field beyond! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We would really recommend staying at Blue Yala ☺️

We were Really happy to stay at this lovely big villa! The room was very very clean, and very BIG !! The host really made our stay perfect! Very attentive to our needs! It’s located not too far from Yala National parc main entrance! Me and my family will come back!!

This place has everything one can ask for. A big spacious room, clean bathroom & a massive pattio overlooking the Indian ocean. Their restaurant is right on the beach and serves an option of delicious sri lankan breakfast or continental breakfast. it's lovely to sit at the restaurant in the evening and sip on some beers and have some of their specialities - their deviled chicken is the best we have had in Sri Lanka. the hosts Gobi, Dikshad & Madhusheri are very helpful and will guide you around, organise bike rentals, kayak trips etc. Totally worth staying here and complete bang for buck. We will be back again.

We absolutely loved it here! It was one of our favourite places in Sri Lanka and beautifully depicts my ‘happy place’ when travelling as the beach was stunning, private, rugged with very few people around. The room was clean and airy with a lovely view. The swimming pool looked just like the pictures and was clean. The food was great and you can walk less than 1 minute on the beach to get to the next bay where there are beach restaurants and bars. It really is a magical peaceful place. If I needed to escape the world and get some R and R I would come back here without a doubt!

The accommodation is in an excellent location, with the most beautiful beaches easily accessible on foot, by tuk-tuk, or by scooter, which can be rented from the property at a great price (highly recommended). The host is an absolute delight—warm, welcoming, and always in a great mood. The breakfast was delicious, and they thoughtfully accommodated our vegan diet. We also received great tips for exploring the area. A special highlight: For the first time in Sri Lanka, we had plenty of hot water and a shower with great water pressure! All in all, our stay couldn’t have been better, so we highly recommend this accommodation!
