Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Halifax County

This place had more than enough room. The scenery was very beautiful, I wished we had booked in the summer because we’d love to enjoy the water.

Our stay was amazing. The yard was great for games and walking and the lakefront was amazing. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. Kitchen was very well stocked and I was amazed to find a food chopper and hand-held mixer. Location was great and close to shopping and dining. We enjoyed some much need R and R with our family and James place was the perfect fit.

The home was beautiful and made an amazing place for us to stay while waiting for our house to be ready. The house would be perfect for a family get away or friends trip . It is stocked with everything you would need.

We really enjoyed having our family gathering here. It’s spacious, comfortable, and pretty well provisioned. The game room was a big hit, as was the hot tub, particularly after several (younger) family members did a “polar plunge” twice. As the father of the crew, I enjoyed a scenic kayak tour of the lake with my wife. The lake views from the property are pretty special too.

A wonderful Thanksgiving holiday spent in a beautiful home on the lake. The fire pit, pool table and air hockey were especially appreciated for colder weather indoor activities. I can only imagine how wonderful this home would be for a summer time vacation.

The home was very clean, large enough for 4/5 couples, we loved the downstairs game room and open family room and kitchen. Kitchen was well supplied with all types of cooking items for any type of meal etc. The dock was really nice and deep for boat. We had a rainy Memorial Day weekend so we stayed inside house and played games which was great! The outside grill was nice and outside deck on second floor was really great for viewing lake. The firepit was really nice but due to rain we could not use. Next time we will return for a sunny weekend with lots of boating! If you need to stay inside due to rain/storms this house is great and you can still have fun!

We had a wonderful time at this lakeside cabin! The views were absolutely serene, with the lake just outside the door offering a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The cabin itself was spacious, clean, and very well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The game room was a huge hit with the kids—they spent hours having fun with the games and entertainment provided. We spent our mornings enjoying the quiet beauty of the lake, and evenings relaxing playing games. It’s a perfect spot for a retreat if you're looking to unwind and connect with nature. I look forward to going back in the summer time.
