This home was awesome I definitely would stay again. The beds are so comfortable and he had the home stocked with everything we needed.

What a fantastic stay for our family and kids! Our host was super responsive throughout our visit, which made everything so easy. This Airbnb definitely earns its 5-star rating for a memorable getaway. Just a couple of heads-up for future guests: If you're bringing a wake boat, be aware the boat access is quite shallow, so it might not be suitable for larger boats. Also, as expected with a lakeside property, there were mosquitoes. We knew they'd be around, but these were particularly robust! Definitely pack your best bug spray and some strong after-bite cream – you'll thank us later. Despite the monster mosquitoes and boat access, we had a wonderful time!

Nice place for a weekend getaway, the backyard is huge with a private pool, basketball court, and playground. Only complaints were the pool lights didn’t work and the grill was really dirty.

Dorothy is a wonderful hostess, very attentive and accommodating. The rental house is cozy and has everything you need. There is plenty of space and access and parking is easy. Best of both worlds because there are plenty of restaurants and shops just 15 minutes away in Rocky Mount, the location is in a quiet country setting.

Beautiful place with great amenities. The lake is beautiful, pool is nice, and elevator comes in handy for families or older parents. The balconies are pretty and it’s peaceful and a great getaway.

We had the best stay for our family vacation! I cannot say enough good things about the home, pool, dock, and amenities. Our family cannot wait to visit again! It was even better than we could have imagined from the pictures. Rusty was quick to answer any question that we had. 100/10 stay!!!

What a wonderful location and a beautiful home. It accommodated our large family and having the guest house helped keep the noise level down for sleeping/napping children. The gazebo was a great spot for the adults to gather in the evening to visit and play games. The home was clean and well stocked with everything needed. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

This house is exactly as described and the surroundings are beautiful! It is perfectly appointed. Everything you could need is available. Jamie and Mary are kind, polite and very responsive hosts. We held a small women's retreat here and it was comfortable and had every accommodation. This is our second year and we planning on returning. Jamie and Mary are perfect hosts.

We had a great stay! The house was very clean and stocked with all the necessities for the week. The yard space was fantastic for our 2 year old to play and run around in it. The house is on a very quiet street which was also great for our 2 year old to go on walks. Having the dock right there and being able to tie our boat up was fantastic. The house is only an 8 minute drive to the boat ramp. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us. We would definitely stay here again in the future. The owners were very kind and informative!

Our stay was amazing. The yard was great for games and walking and the lakefront was amazing. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. Kitchen was very well stocked and I was amazed to find a food chopper and hand-held mixer. Location was great and close to shopping and dining. We enjoyed some much need R and R with our family and James place was the perfect fit.

The home was beautiful and made an amazing place for us to stay while waiting for our house to be ready. The house would be perfect for a family get away or friends trip . It is stocked with everything you would need.

Really enjoyed our stay at Jon’s place. Went with some family friends and had an amazing lake weekend, did not want to leave. Clean, comfortable and spacious house, beautiful surroundings and attentive hosts. Would 100% go back.

My family gathered here before and after my 94-year-old dad's memorial service, and it was a perfect location to celebrate his life since he always enjoyed water activities with his family. Cathy was very easy to communicate with, and the house was 10-Star clean and lovely. The sheltered cove was perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding! The space was very family friendly. Cathy had a nice crib set up for the 11-month old and provided a high chair. The older cousins loved being together in the bunk room! One thing I may have missed in booking was there is a slight charge for towels and linens, and you must request this service. Thankfully, I asked about this beforehand and was able to get the service. Everything was plentiful and nice quality. I have stayed in several nice AirBnb homes in the past, but this one was by far the nicest! I just got a call from my niece telling me how perfect the place was for our "memorial weekend" and for making new memories.

As soon as we walked in, it smelled clean. Very nice place, great view of the lake and very relaxing. My only negative was the seating wasn't very comfortable in the house. My bed was wonderful and lots of hot water for the showers. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Wow! What a gorgeous home. Views of the lovely cove and lake. A gorgeous home in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. There were eight of us and we never felt cramped. A couple of us would be out on the cozy screened-in porch, while a couple of us would be down on the dock chairs, and still more would be playing pool in the game room. We enjoyed the firepit two of the three nights we spent there. Lots of TVs, throughout, but we only turned one on for the Kentucky Derby (so much other stuff to be doing). Beautifully decorated and clean. There must be about 20 outdoor seating areas. It was awesome to be soaking in the hot tub watching the rain. Would highly recommend it!

MUST COME HERE. if you are going to lake gaston or just want a nice cozy place to relax in silence i think this spot is best! so clean, spacious and donald is so so so sweet!!! it said online that he had a grill here and when we got there, we didn’t find a grill… so donald ordered a grill and shipped it to the house!! i’ve never had a host do something so sweet before! he had flexible times incase we needed more time to finish packing, everything was great! i will definitely be back here.

This was our second year at Ronnie’s lake house. We filled it up with 11 people for half of the week and always had enough room, and loved the accommodations. Swimming and kayaking off the dock if our absolute favorite activity. We’re planning on coming back next year!

Perfect place for a fisherman with a boat and trailer. Plenty of parking for 3 trucks and trailers.

What a beautiful, clean comfortable way to spend a week at a lake. The house layout is functional and perfect for our needs. There's a place to dock your boat and some wonderful toys to play with. Kayaks, floats and the best little surprise was a clean life vest and raft for the little one to claim. We've been looking purposely for a lake home to purchase. Staying at Dwight's has given us another option. Perhaps we'll just rent his house a few more times a year.

Herron’s View was simply spectacular! Laura was quick to respond to any of our questions and was very helpful. The house was immaculate and equipped with lots of amenities for a wonderful stay. We had access to a lift for both our boat and Jet ski. We enjoyed playing on the pool table and foosball table. In short it is the perfect lake house for a family vacation. Our group of 6 adults and 5 grands had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the lake. Thank you Laura for a great experience!

We had a great time with family at the house over Thanksgiving. The set up was good for our group and the view of the lake from the house and the pier is terrific. The decor is fun and comfortable. There are some minor maintenance issues that were needed but nothing that kept us from enjoying our stay. Would love to enjoy it during the summer when we could get out on the lake.
