Family-friendly vacation rentals in Haarlem

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

Wir waren für ein Wochenende in der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit den Fahrrädern konnte man die nahe gelegene Metrostation gut erreichen und wir haben eine gute Zeit in Amsterdam gehabt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Ich kann diese Unterkunft für Amsterdam Aufenthalte sehr empfehlen.

Diese Jurte und alles drum herum ist so unglaublich wundervoll! Die Gastgeber sind super herzlich und toll, wir hatten 100% Privatsphäre und trotzdem das Gefühl es ist immer jemand da der sich kümmert. Die Umgebung bietet viel Ruhe, man kann super abschalten und den ganzen Tag den Tieren um einen herum zuschauen und Nachts den Sternen. Und wenn man etwas mehr Action braucht gibt es Fahrräder die man packen kann um die Gegend und das Meer zu erkunden. Die Jurte hat alles was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Spiele, Plattenspieler, eine hammer Küche, sauberes und luxuriöses Bad und Dusche, super viele chill Möglichkeiten innen ind außen und der private HotTup auf der Terrasse macht alles schon fast zu perfekt. Wir haben wirklich nichts auszusetzen es war einfach ganz ganz toll!! Vielen Dank :)

Schöne Unterkunft für eine große Gruppe von Freunden! Gerne wieder.

我们团队一行6人，商务行后旅行经过一晚，1、房屋主人主动沟通确认到达时间，原计划8:30到，实际到达要9:30-10点了，提前1小时通知，房东非常有耐心； 2、房子里有树屋和秋千； 3、方便停车🅿️； 4、周围2.5KM有大海和海滩，沙滩上有贝壳🐚，很适合散步看海踩沙滩🏖️；

Plenty of room, quiet neighborhood. The M5 bus made our commute to Train then Amsterdam easier. (Approx 1 hour). Loved the 2 free bikes available for us to use. The sauna was a lovely bonus to use at night to relax. Moniek’s was resourceful and actively answering our questions. Alot of gadget in the house, no cable on TV so it was hard for my elderly parents to figure out how to use an intelligent tv with Netflix and all but we managed differently. Area was really nice close to the house but Almere centrum gets a bit suspicious at night so be aware to not be a women alone at night coming back -even locals fidy not recommended.

Heel fijn verblijf gehad. Schoon huis en alle benodigdheden waren aanwezig, top! Verder mooie tuin met leuke trampoline en we hebben genoten van de hottub, die ook met regen heerlijk is. Enige wat ik van tevoren had willen weten is dat de tuin direct aangrenzend is aan de tuin van de familie. Hierdoor voelde het iets minder privé. Gelukkig was hij zeer vriendelijk, dus dat was verder prima. Verder was Hari vriendelijk en responsief, dus ook dat was fijn. Veel dank aan Hari en de rest van de familie!

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

I’m emotional about leaving this absolute treasure of a rental- wish we could stay forever. We booked Darley’s on the recommendation of well-traveled local friends who literally *moved* to Hilversum after staying here and told us it was the best Airbnb of all time. (These friends also know that I’m finicky about vacation rentals and generally prefer hotels.) I’m SO glad we listened to them. This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful, well-appointed, lavish, thoughtfully stocked, gorgeously furnished, comfortable Airbnb ever, and now I’m probably ruined for all others. It could have been half as incredible for twice the price - we’d still be delighted. I’ve never felt more at home while traveling. We had all the privacy, comfort, provisions, fresh flowers and fruit, random fun perks, great water pressure, immaculate cleanliness, inspiring corners, luxurious linens, and other copious supplies we didn’t know we needed. Thank you, Marielise, for the Airbnb experience of a lifetime. WOW.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at the Farm with Patries and Mike! We had the most amazing time staying at Patries and Mike’s farm. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. Patries and Mike are truly exceptional hosts – warm, generous, and full of heart. You can feel how much love and care they put into their place and into every guest they welcome. The farm itself is a little slice of paradise. Surrounded by nature, animals, and peace, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with what really matters. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds – and especially the proud rooster announcing each new day with great enthusiasm! There’s a real sense of authenticity and warmth here that’s hard to put into words – you simply have to experience it. Thank you, Patries and Mike, for opening your hearts and your home to us. We left with full hearts, new inspiration, and the feeling that we had just spent time with old friends. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful family home and welcoming hosts-highly recommend for families! Hosts were so helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, offering tips for the transit system etc. I wish we had spent more time enjoying their home during this trip to visit Amsterdam as the home is a gem-the outdoor spaces are lovely. The movie projector screen and large collection of movies was so fun to use. The home is in an ideal location to use as a home base to access nearby Amsterdam or the even closer and very charming town of Zaanse Schans.

Le logement de Marja est magique ! entouré d’eau, de fermes et de champs, parfait pour les amoureux de la nature. Nous avons adoré : Faire des balades avec nos trois enfants avec les canoës prêtés par Marja et pêcher juste devant la maison. La proximité de Delft, ville pour laquelle nous avons eu un véritable coup de cœur , nous conseillons vraiment de louer des vélos et de faire les pistes cyclables de la autour de la ville pour découvrir la région . La maison donne directement sur une piste cyclable mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. La vue sur l’eau est si belle et offre des couchers de soleil incroyables. Bon à savoir: La maison est petite mais suffisante pour 5, cependant il faut savoir qu’il y a un seul wc situé directement dans la salle de bain. La chaudière placée derrière le mur de la chambre parentale peut faire du bruit la nuit, sur les conseils de Marja nous avons coupé le chauffage la nuit et cela vous garantit des nuits paisibles. Nous reviendrons !!

Wir hatten als fünfköpfige Familie ein wunderbares Wochenende in Uitgeest. Die Umgebung mit der Windmühle, den Wiesen mit viel Wasser, Natur und dem schönen Ort direkt um die Ecke sind der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge ans Meer oder nach Haarlem und Amsterdam. Unsere Gastgeber waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Haus bietet alles, was man braucht und ist schön gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es war eine tolle Erfahrung auf dem Hausboot! Das Hausboot ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und Jeanette ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind einige Bars und Restaurants. Die Kubushäuser und die Markthalle sind fußläufig schnell erreichbar. Auch die Metro und Straßenbahn sind nicht weit weg. Wir würden das Hausboot jederzeit wieder mieten! Lotte's house is simply perfect. Very close to Amsterdam and the airport, but still in a calm, quiet environment. The breakfast was always varied and very tasty. Our little boys loved the chickens. :) Lotte and her husband were incredibly sweet and helpful. We felt great, we would come back anytime! If I could, I would give 10 stars! :) Thank you for everything Lotte!

Super Unterkunft und super Gastgeber . Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß sind haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war mit dem Boot erreichbar und wir konnten mit dem Boot einkaufen fahren. Es war ein echtes Abenteuer. Der Unterkunft sowie der Pool war sauber. Hat alles gepasst für uns ☀️

Wir haben nun bereits das 2. Mal in Annets Wohnung Urlaub gemacht mit unseren Kindern. Die Unterkunft bietet genügend Platz und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Annet ist eine großartige Gastgeberin. Sie ist zuvorkommend, freundlich und wir haben uns in ihrer Wohnung direkt wohl gefühlt. Der Campingplatz bietet viele Attraktionen und Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder. Danke Annet für deine Gastfreundlichkeit!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Wendela sehr genossen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt. Das „Rosenhäuschen“ war genau das, was wir uns vorgestellt hatten. Es war unser „ Home away from home“. Und wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

The house boat was just as it looked in the pictures! It was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was perfect how the kids sort of had their side, or wing, and my husband and I had our space in the master bedroom, on the other side. We all slept very well! We loved the cats, Skip & Bo. We are animal people, so it was fun having them come and go, and socialize and snuggle with us! The views were amazing and there were plenty of spots to just chill when we weren't out exploring. The house boat was very walkable to many fun spots and different areas. We definitely felt like we were staying in someone's home versus a rental. Enjoyed all of the personal touches in the kitchen as well! We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Joost's place without hesitation!

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊

Magdalena hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert. Obwohl wir kein Frühstück gebucht haben, hat sie uns Brot und andere Leckereien bereitgestellt. Die Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung, die Lage ist wunderschön. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We had such a great time at Laura’s Airbnb! While it was a long walk to the heart of Amsterdam, there are so many public transportation options close by and they are so easy to navigate. The neighborhood is gorgeous and we would definitely stay again!

Wir waren zu sechst im Familienurlaub mit zwei Kids und Oma und Opa. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Karins Haus. Es ist perfekt ausgestattet, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Park bietet viele Aktivitäten, allerdings nicht alles so beschrieben wie auf der Homepage (z.B. Elektroautos für Kids sind nicht in Betrieb). Wir waren im Mai in der Nebensaison und es war schon recht viel Betrieb im Park. Wer Ruhe und Einsamkeit sucht, ist hier fehl am Platz. Für uns mit den Kids war es perfekt. Der Strand ist traumhaft. Wir würden gern wiederkommen!
