The area offers great possibilities for fishing trout in the mountain lakes and salmon in the Bjerkreimselva, listed as one of the best salmon rivers in Norway! Try also the Kodlom lake just outside the door! In the winter season, Stavtjørn is well known for its excellent cross country and alpine skiing terrain.

The Benedikte house on architect-designed Svindland farm

The Benedikte house is about 10 min drive from Egersund city center and about 5 min from E39. We have attempted to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one to stay in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the outskirts of the courtyard of the Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and idyll. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock that runs freely. The house is very modern and well-equipped.

The building complex was finished in 2016, and maintains a high standard. The apartment is located in the 3rd floor( top floor) with a slight view of the ocean (elevator available). The first floor of the complex has both a gas-station and a small grocery store. The train station is located 100m away from the apartment, with frequent departures for both Stavanger and Egersund. Ogna beach is only 10 minutes of walking away. The condo has free parking on the premises.

Great family apartment on the first floor with stunning views of Lysefjord. You can't get any closer to the fjord. The apartment has a double terrace door facing the fjord. You get a feeling of being "at sea" when you enter the apartment. Large bedroom with double bed, with the option of shutting down two extra beds if there are many of you sharing the apartment. Welcome to our family cabin. You can enjoy the nice view over the Lysefjord, special from the terrace. It is just a few minutes from the see, where you can take a bath. The cabin has a perfect location for a lot of hikings in the area: Preikestolen, Flørli, Kjerag and a lot of other places. It is only a few minutes by car to the Forsand quay, and departures for Flørli and Lysebotn.
