The 2 city parks Prinsentuin and Vossenpark are around the corner and you can almost see the famous Tower of the Oldenhove from the garden. Idyllic cottage by the river

We were there for an extended period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit right by the water in sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and was able to run around freely. The back of the garden is fenced. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. Apart from a pizzeria and a grill snack bar, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink somewhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bicycle with us, (there are also two available there) that was no problem for us and you can find out in advance what you want to do in the area, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, like we are, it was a challenge upstairs, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage, rustically furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

Spacious house, neat and easily accessible. In principle, everything you can think of is there. The owners also live there a few days a month, which makes them also have their belongings there, but in no way is that an annoyance or a downside in any way. Practically around the corner you have shops (from AH to Kruidvat) and you are also in the center of Leeuwarden in no time to shop. Contact is easy and fast. Very friendly and thoughtful in possibilities/wishes.

We enjoyed our stay at the windmill while we were visiting Friesland. The location worked great for trips into Leeuwarden along with surrounding areas. The e-bikes were one of our highlights of this stay - we did a ride through Leeuwarden out to Deinum and Boksum which was amazing. Would recommend staying here as a solo or couple traveller.

I wanted a relaxing weekend in a special accommodation in nature. That's exactly what I got, between the cows and the pigs in a meadow, it was totally idyllic. From the terrace, you could enjoy the sunset in the evening. Everything you need is there and the place was totally cozy. It was very clean and even for cooking everything was there, shower and toilet is also very close. A supermarket is very close, in the beautiful village, various national parks and the way to the sea is also not far. Tim is very helpful and very friendly! I would come back again and again and definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely stay, the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The communication with Tessa was very pleasant and the bottle of bubbles on reception was very thoughtful and welcome. A lot of care has been paid to this accommodation and it is very cozily decorated.

The cottage is in a very beautiful environment. It is very well equipped and renovated. The littery is excellent. The Friesland region is very beautiful: the countryside 30 minutes from the sea! Thanks to Marije and Bas for hosting us and for the welcome brioche.
