We have unobstructed stunning views from Atenas to the capital city of San Jose, and boast temperatures slightly more moderate than the valley. The daytime views are only surpassed by the dazzling lights at night. We are a sort 3km drive to downtown Atenas. 2 acres of manicured gardens surround our large modern home. Enjoy the simplicity of this quiet and safe place to stay. It is central and comfortable, close to Route 27. An hour and 15 min from the beaches. I had a one day layover in Costa Rica at the end of a really long journey and this place completely restored me! I arrived late at night using the completely wonderful airport collection service which saved me from being alone at night in the city and was not made to feel inconvenient in any way. The bed was comfortable, the shower warm, the breakfast delicious, and the garden perfect for a little rest before ny onward flight. I walked to the museum and cathedral without any problems and would recommend this stay to anyone! thank you!!

For me, I was grateful; the other Airbnb I had reserved ended up having the wrong location published, so I had to book this last minute, around 8pm. I was just there for a night, but the place had a cool, very old Victorian house-style vibe. Creaky old wood floors and really tall ceilings. My room was crazy large, but it was also a handicapped room, which should be plenty large. PARKING: So they do have their own parking lot attached to the hotel, but if you arrive at night, it is locked down. So you have to go to the front desk and they have a clicker to open it. So if you park at the hotel entrance, which is on a one-way street and not really a pull-over spot but not busy so if it's late a quick stop is probably fine (cars can get around you), the garage is at least 4 car lengths before the hotel, so be smarter than me so you don't have to go around or reverse down a one-way to get in the garage. Props to the front desk agent, responsive and friendly!!

We stayed only one night at the end of our trip to repack our bags and visit the Starbucks farm the day of our flight back home. This was our first time staying in the same space as the host, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Marisol was so welcoming and one of the nicest people you can meet. The beauty of her home and the views are so much better than the pictures suggest.

Pierre and Nuria are excellent hosts. As soon as we arrived they welcomed us and explained absolutely everything and made themselves available to us. They were very kind and friendly. The way they welcomed us made us feel right at home. The place was just as shown in the photos, super quiet and full of nature, a place we would definitely go back to.

I will think fondly and memorably about my time at Bogana house for the rest of my days. I met so many fun, interesting and genuinely kind people during my stay there. Paula, the resident house-mom is incredible! If there were a world championships for being a house-mom then Paula would be the undisputed world champion of the world. She's like the Michael Phelps of house-moms. Paula is there for whatever you may need, she is hilarious to talk with and I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know her. The house is very well located with whatever you may need in walking distance. Her family also could not be kinder. I'd like to make a special shoutout to her son Daniel, who is the most well behaved teenager I've ever encountered and a very interesting and awesome person. Evangeline is highly responsive and I got the sense she is also a natural and intuitive caregiver. You will be in great hands with these ladies! The house itself is truly amazing! I can't wait to visit again soon!!!
