The Retreat @ Solway House is a cosy 1-bed annex tucked away in our garden in the peaceful hamlet of Rigg, just 1 mile from Gretna Green. Our semi rural location is only a 3 mile drive from the M6/and just off the A75, the perfect stop over to break up any car journey, we provide parking for one car on our driveway. The Annex is a self-contained tiny home with its own private entrance, featuring a double bed, log burner, cosy sofa area, shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen/dining area.

A double bed and en suite shower awaits in fresh comfortable surroundings. Open to all but please be aware of access arrangements to the property -access up a lane. An ‘Amazing Spaces’ inspired shipping container conversion, set in a peaceful secluded wildlife friendly garden, at the foot of the Pennine hills. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

Mount Farm - Tom's Place, Detached Guest Suite

Welcome to Tom's place, a detached guest suite situated on our farm. We are dog friendly, and can accept one small dog in this accommodation at a small additional charge of £10. We have other accommodation available for more than one or larger dogs - please just ask. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided with your stay. Blackford is a peaceful place to stay, close by to the M6, Lake District, Borders and Hadrians Wall.

Paxville is a delightful bungalow completely refurbished and upgraded in 2023 with comfort in mind, and has been beautifully decorated throughout. Paxville has a wonderful open outlook with the Cumbrian hills as a backdrop. The living room looks out over the garden towards the Solway Coast and has a large comfortable sofa and armchairs where you can sit back and relax after a day exploring.
