The Lake House at Rough River

Bring the whole family to this Lake front property with lots of room for fun! Enjoy the lake and swimming just steps from the screened in deck! Divided on three levels are 4 spacious bedrooms, 2.5 baths, open concept kitchen and living, 2 living areas, and 3 decks to enjoy. There are two sets of stairs inside the home and various sets outside the home. Please keep this in mind when booking! Rough River Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers waterway. The water level fluctuates with the season.

Old Iberia hang out on the lake

Summer is winding down and fall is approaching. Get your booking dates in while openings are available. Fall is the perfect camping season of the year. Cool nights and great bond fire weather. Come enjoy our 20 acres backed up to the redline. With creeks and waterfalls a few steps away. With the high water levels in the spring the access trail is still open but the shore line isn’t suitable for kayaks at this time. We still will rent them out for guests but wanted to make aware the conditions.

As of Nov. 2022, the river is currently down in level due to winter but still a beautiful feature to see.

Lower level has walkout to patio and corn hole area. Access to nearby neighborhood walking trail. Less than 30 min to Cave City.

Amazing Lake Front - PEACEFUL. Fishing is abundance. Host has 2 paddle boards and 1 kayak. Life jackets are required. Wax Marina 3 miles away for all other watercraft rentals (boats, jet-ski, mat’s ). Must rent in advance. Community ramp 6 mins, Iberia ramp 1 mile with a sandy beach. Other things to do: Buoy Restaurant wet bar over looks Wax Marina State Park 15 mins beach/play area, miles of hiking, bike trails. Mammoth Cave National Park 25 mins by the Green River Fair

Check out this peaceful cabin that sits on 11 acres with Rough River in your backyard, where you can fish, swim, kayak on a 6 hour trip and be right back at the cottage in 15 minutes by vehicle. Boat Ramp 15 minutes away. Or 1hr trip start at cabin and end back at cabin. One hr or less to many attractions & 20 minutes from nearest town. Cabin has 2 queen beds + fold out in living room.
