Peak District village cottage with stunning views

TraceyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Attractive cottage and felt like a real home from home, with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely to wake up to the views across the valley and hear the bird song all around. a beautiful little enclosed garden at the back with 2 sitting out areas was just lovely to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. The very popular village of Youlegrave was a great location with shops for basic provisions, cafes and pubs. Great local walks and ideal for dog walks further afield. We enjoyed the local town of Bakewell and visits to Thornbridge House, Thornbridge Brewery, Haddon Hall, walked some of the Malpas trail and of course you can't miss Chatsworth. Fantastic stay for 4 adults and our dog

A white pitcher filled with blooming white peonies is displayed on a ledge near tall, mullioned windows. The windows allow natural light to illuminate the area, while soft, neutral-colored towels are neatly arranged on a rack nearby. A serene view of greenery is visible through the glass.

Stylish, Opulent & Spacious 18C. Peaks apartment

A lovely stay in Wirksworth and so glad that we booked this place!! The décor throughout is lovely and boutique style with a very cosy and homely atmosphere. We stayed here for 4 nights and wished we’d booked for a couple more as there’s plenty to do in the local area. Angus was very responsive and on the first evening sent a message to make sure we had checked-in all okay, which was a nice touch. Only recommendation that I can find is to make sure you take some kitchen roll & surface spray as these little things can easily get forgotten when visiting places as this isn’t supplied. All in all, would love to visit again!

Lovely little place. Perfect for a little stress free get away. The cottage was cozy and clean. The surrounding village is cute even if a little quiet. Was exactly what I needed.

Picturesque Rose Cottage in Winster

We're just back from two night's in Winster. Helen's cottage was easy to find, equipped with everything needed and more, clean and tastefully decorated. A charming stone cottage perfect as a base. Helen gave plenty of info and local recommendations. Having village shop and somewhere to grab a meal was very useful. The only minor thing for me, as a light sleeper, is that the cottage is situated next to the road, which was pretty quiet, but when the odd vehicle did go past at night, it did wake me. Otherwise, we had a very relaxing break and will consider again in the future.

We have just had thee most fabulous stay at Tim's place. We immediately fell in love with the house - it is full of creative style, making it a stand out and unique place that feels very special. Most importantly the beds were extremely comfy! We loved the extra effort made in terms of being environmentally friendly and mindful of sustainability. The surroundings were stunning. The house and garden are really well maintained and looked after with all the amenities you could want/need. We didn't want to leave and hope to be back!
