Off-Grid On Superior: Entire Private Cabin

This place was amazing! The view was unbeatable. We happened to hit it during peak Fall colors and during a local studio art tour- what a treat! Lots of parks and hikes around! Sunrise!!!! Restaurants are plentiful in Grand Marais. The shower situation and outhouse was a little less adjustment, but we made it all work and it definitely wouldn't keep us from coming back! In a sweet way the privative living made us appreciate our lives more and added to the experience! This place is just perfect. Plan to carry your trash out! What a treat!

We had two families stay together and felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. It is a short drive (~5 mins) to/from Lutsen Mountain so was an ideal place for us to stay as an alternative to a ski in/ski out option. Nice big entryway for all our snow pants, jackets, ski boots, etc. The place is very well kept and clean. It was great having a bathroom on each level. There are lots of stairs - main kitchen is on 2nd level and main TV watching area is on 3rd level - so something to keep in mind. The house is located on a very quiet road. There were several deer that walked through the yard that we could watch from the windows which was pretty cool. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our family REALLY enjoyed ourselves in Kami & Matthew's cabin! We had set our sights on a location that was a bit more remote, cozy but spacious enough for our family of 4, while tucked away in a winter wonderland and beautiful surroundings. We got all of these things in one (except for the snow part which was unfortunate, but hard to control)! The layout of the cabin was perfect and the location was really great, and we all loved just enjoying the place in a relaxed tempo. We would highly recommend this wonderful spot and would definitely not mind coming back when there's more snow :-)

This was a great little cabin for our kid free weekend away! They had everything in the kitchen you could need to cook meals. It’s tucked into the woods so it’s private and it’s just what we were looking for. It was clean and we had a great experience! Derek was quick and responsive when an issue came up.

This is a great little cabin located in a very private area. It was winter, so we weren't able to enjoy the net hammock but we wanted to :-) The circular staircase to the lower level (where the second bedroom and third bed are) is very tight. Our suitcases were small enough to get down there, but we would have struggled if they were bigger. I also missed the fact there wasn't a dishwasher. Luckily my sons were put to work.

Staying at John and Kim’s cabin was an experience I will cherish forever. They have a beautiful property that is fully powered by solar with a serene atmosphere of deep woods and even a view of the Great Lake Superior. The cabin is perfect for those who want to be secluded in the woods and enjoy the comfort of a private cabin. The wood furnace works great for keeping you warm on cooler nights, although it takes a bit to warm the cabin up, it is very well insulated and keeps the warmth in even through the night. The cabin is full of the basic necessities to make your stay comfortable and you will not be disappointed in booking your very own oasis in the forest. Thank you John and Kim for the chance to experience this! I hope to stay here again in the future!

This was our second time at the cabin and it was even better than the first time. The cabin is exceptionally clean and has everything you need to be comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and organized. The new bed and bedding are really comfortable as well. We love the outdoor space, especially the deck furniture and the chairs down by the lake. It’s a very peaceful setting. Communication was clear and timely. We had no issues at all and would highly recommend this cabin. We’re hoping we can return again next year!

We loved staying in Eve's Place Cabin 1 during our annual fall trip to Grand Marais. The cabin was the perfect space to prepare cabin meals for the day ahead as well as a cozy oasis to escape to after a long day. You can't beat falling asleep to the sound of Lake Superior waves or relaxing over a personal bonfire under a starry sky. You will be spoiled with all the natural beauty of the North Shore at this place! The cabin is kept in prestine condition as well and truly had everything we needed to enjoy our long weekend! Mona was so thoughtful to include EVERYTHING you might need in your temporary home away from home.
