Monthly Rentals in Grabhair

A lovely cottage situated in a beautiful quiet location with only the birds and deer as neighbours. The cottage was warm and the bed very comfy. Kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of books and DVDs to watch in the evenings once the sun had gone down. A lovely cottage if you want peace and tranquillity. We were also blessed with fantastic weather and we were able to sit outside and enjoy watching the wildlife.

We had a great week at Oran na Cuthaig. The house is as described, spacious, very comfortable and with everything you might need. It provided an ideal base for our family (including dog) to explore Lewis & Harris. There are some nice walks from the house with gorgeous views (also from the house - the changing sky is mesmerising). The house is very central with most sights max 40 mins or so drive away. Favourites of ours were Bostadh, Uig and Mangarsta, Luskentyre, and Calanais. Stornoway is under 20 mins away (with fast EV chargers!). Another big hit was fantastic pizza from Crust only 10 mins away (perfect for swinging by on the way home from a day out but definitely worth advance ordering online if you can). Eleanor was a responsive and very helpful host. Thanks again for having us - we hope to be back!

Really quiet and secluded house with lovely views over the loch to hillside and down towards the sea. The single track road to the house is typical of any single track road in that it just has to be driven with care and passing places used so give yourself added time if travelling to ferries etc. House was very homely and comfortable with lots of informative pamphlets, maps, local visiting attractions, ferry/bus timetables etc. Good housekeeping instructions and recycling bags/bins. Would have loved the open fire to have been available but respect the need for safety and possible hazards of open fires. A very relaxing visit by all our party.

We had a great stay here and Gillian was a fantastic host. It is a great area very close to supermarket, and lots of lovely walks around the area. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay, and really enjoyed our time here.
