Great place to stay and was clean and tidy! Responsive and friendly host who helped with recommendations!

Enjoyed our stay here and had everything we needed. Great location for seeing different parts of Cornwall. Good to have the facilities on site especially the swimming pool which my boys loved.

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

We had the most fantastic big family holiday here! The property easily accommodated 9 adults plus a wee one, with the hot tub and the games room being great bonuses to add to our enjoyment. The whole house was brilliantly equipped with excellent furnishings both inside and out on the patio, had very comfortable beds and the cleaning products and soap etc were very much appreciated. Having the Londis shop so close was very handy and we enjoyed some delicious food at the Jam Jar cafe/pizzeria just down the road. Newquay is just a short car ride away with all the beaches, supermarkets and restaurants you could ever want. There just wasn’t enough time to do everything we would have liked to do…..so we will just have to come back again!! Thank you for an amazing property where we could all gather and enjoy such a memorable holiday.

This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

The home was comfortable, plenty of space, nicely decorated and furnished and just wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to go again.

The house was absolutely beautiful with everything we could possibly need. Even to the point that I ordered some of the toiletries and smelly stuff for at home. Beautiful.

We’ve just spent 4 days at the cottage, and couldn’t have had a more perfect trip. We visit Cornwall regularly but this is our new ‘favourite’ place to stay. Great location with some local amenities on the doorstep and the footpath about 400 m takes you right into Perrenporth. Sarah was fab and really responsive to any questions or recommendations on places to eat or visit. Everything was very clean and bed super comfortable!!

Jeremy's home is lovely. We stayed with our 12 month old baby and Jeremy couldn't have been more accommodating. The location was perfect for us, allowing us to explore different areas of Cornwall very easily. The house was perfect too. It has everything you could need and is immaculate inside. Jeremy was very helpful during our stay when we had questions and was very quick to respond. We would definitely recommend this home and hope to be back again one day.

I recently visited Cornwall for a wedding at the Treseren and stayed at Sharon lovely home — it was a great experience. The location was peaceful and well-situated, with easy access to beaches, Newquay, and some nice local shops. Sharon was a friendly and responsive host, and the place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

What a gem! The upper beach house is a fantastic find with the most wonderful scenic view to look out to. The house is spacious, homely and full of all the amenities to feel home from home. The outdoor terrace is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the view of the beach. With just a one minute walk to the beach and costal path, the location was perfect. Gareth was a great host, responsive and clear instructions. A brilliant stay!!

We had a really wonderful stay in Polvenna beachhouse. The house is clean, spacious and light, with a cosy, beachy interior. The beds and showers are great and the kitchen is very well equipped. We all loved the amazing view and the sound of the waves when lying in bed at night. It was really magical. Porthtowan has a great beach. We loved the rockpool and rented surfboards. The village store is a short walk down and sells fresh bread. Nearby St. Agnes is lovely and has some great restaurants. This is a good place to visit the rest of Cornwall from. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had such a wonderful stay in Perranporth, the house is absolutely beautiful, and the photos really don’t do it justice. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach, which made everything feel so relaxed and easy. The shower is amazing, super powerful and such a treat after a day at the beach! The kitchen is really well planned, with everything you could need, and we loved the little touches like the board games, which made our evenings feel so cosy and homely. We booked really last minute and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating, they made the whole experience feel so welcoming. Truly can’t recommend this place enough 100/10. Thank you so much for having us! 💙

Will be back 1st opportunity great premises the house is gorgous and massive downstairs area! Waking up to the horses was amazing would deffinatly stay here again only 8 minutes from Perranporth beach. So impressed with this find, we visit friends twice a year and this barn is perfect for us now.

Maple Cottage is a lovely holiday home from home. Sally and John were always welcoming and friendly. Home made lemon cake on arrival and free range eggs from their chickens for breakfast mid week. We had a great week and would recommend Maple Cottage to anyone. Thank you Sally and John

What an amazing find! Utterly private and feels very rural. Even though the lovely village of St Agnes and glorious beaches and towns are only a short distance away! Very cosy and eclectic home with some delicious treats and a bottle of fizz left by Kate and Simon. If you do stay, you HAVE TO use Sunny Spice, whether it’s for takeaway or eat in. Best South Indian food and yummy dosas I’ve had outside of London or Kerala! Thank you for making us so welcome and for the brilliant recommendations of places to go and local eateries.

Myself my partner John and our two dogs stayed at “the Piggery “may 2025 for a few days while we explored Cornwall. We found the cottage spotless and had everything we needed . Even a washing machine and dish washer . It was lovely and private and we enjoyed the hot tub . It is not over looked in-fact there are fields at the back of the property. There was an enclosed garden for our two dogs . The bed was really comfortable with good sheets . Overall a fantastic place to stay .

Very comfortable house with cosy lounge great sofa and amazing TV. Great views and Porthtowan is an amazing unspoilt place. It’s a steep but short walk to the house. Outdoor seating area provides great views. The shower is great and the bed linen lovely.

The most beautiful getaway. The views over the meadow to the sea and St Michael’s Mount are incredible any time of the day and we loved spending time on the terrace. Perfect location for walking, sea swims and east to get into town and explore the Cornish coast. The decor is also amazing with so much attention to detail. Will be back!
