Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Goodhue County

Leonardo's place was great. The house itself was lovely with a very well stocked kitchen. We felt at home right away. The sunroom was a great place to enjoy a beverage after a long bike ride. Also, Leonardo was super accommodating when I asked if I could drop off food and beverages in the fridge before a long bike ride on a hot day. He allowed us to have quick access to the kitchen before official check-in time. Moreover, there was a tree that came down in the driveway during a storm one evening while we were there . . . Leonardo sent people to take care of it promptly.

Captain's Quarters is very beautifully decorated & lovingly cared for, the furnishings fit the 1900 theme to a tea. Every detail was looked after to make our stay an enjoyable one, from the soaking tub to the freshly-baked cookies, coffee & tea. We loved the basket of goodies waiting for us! We appreciated the communication with Denise & Lyle-they are kind, hospitable hosts. Denise had written check-in & out instructions, making it extremely easy to do both. She also checked on us through a text the next morning, to make sure everything was okay. The neighborhood was very quiet and the house was very convenient and walkable to things we found to do-walk to the library, restaurants, the grocery store, popcorn stand, food truck, and the historic home walking tour-it was also very easy to get out of town for scenic back-road driving. Lake City is an adorable town by the lake/river; it was fun to spend a few days there to unwind & enjoy Bluff Country and new scenery.

This house was the perfect setting for our girls getaway. The views are breathtaking, it is just a half a mile to restaurants. 1 mile to downtown. The house was spotless and the fully stocked kitchen was amazing. The kitchen table was an amazing spot for us to all gather around and make memories. The huge window in the living room shows off an amazing view of the Mississippi River Valley. You will not regret staying here!

We so enjoyed our stay at this home in Lake City! It was perfect for a girls getaway. The backyard is beautiful with sun and shade options. We walked into town each day for coffee and lunch along the lake. Definitely recommend this home for your stay!

Overall it was a great stay! We knew this prior to arrival, but it’s worth noting that the level where you enter the residence has a good amount of steps in order to reach the main living area. We were in Lake City for a wedding so that meant armful’s of things up and back down the stairs. Just be careful! House was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The view of the lake from the residence was a bonus!

Beautiful view of the lake. Quiet street. The kitchen is well-stocked with quality appliances, dishes, utensils and cookware. Overall great stay.

We enjoyed our stay - extremely walkable to downtown with restaurants and shops, convenient location across from a grocery store, quiet neighborhood, and comfortable place to spend a few days while in Red Wing! The historic charm of the house, as well as the surrounding neighborhoods was a highlight for us. This appears to be a 3 unit converted historic house, and while we could tell there were occupants on the top floor above, it was very quiet and private. We'd be happy to stay here again during a future visit!

This loft truly was cozy! It was immaculately clean, had lots of charming touches, and was quite comfortable. In spite of a busy main street, we were never bothered by noise. The loft was very conveniently located to everything we wanted to do...1 block to the Cannon Valley trailhead, 1/2 block to Nick's Diner, and acress the street from a great antique store. The host was extremely responsive with a minor issue we had with the TV (we are NOT techy.) She is such a kind and friendly woman. We would definitely stay here again, should the occasion arise!

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely little farm just outside Minneapolis. The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, and felt like home right away. It was fully equipped with everything you typically need, which made the stay even more comfortable. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, offering lots of great tips about the area. It’s also a great starting point for shopping trips – close to the Mall of America and the outlet mall in Eagan. I would definitely stay here again – highly recommended!
