We (5 girlfriends) were very pleased with the townhouse and the gorgeous view of the lake, from both the living room and the upstairs bedroom. The place was clean, well stocked with kitchen equipment, bedding, towels and much more. Beautifully decorated for the season (fall) with very comfortable furniture. Thankyou for making our weekend a joy with your hospitality.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend! It's less than 10 minutes from Red Wing where you can enjoy cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. As for the houseboat, the space is well used and surprisingly spacious. Getting to have the little deck both on main level and top during the beautiful slow mornings was my favorite part! We went on a rather hot weekend and stayed very comfortable with the air conditioning. The Amtrak train does run few times a day, which in early morning did wake us up. Definitively a great experience and highly recommend it for a fun weekend away!

The schoolhouse was a great experience, was easy to find and easy to enter into this charming and beautiful home. We felt at home as soon as we entered. This spacious one room felt like an enormous studio apartment in the middle of the country side. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom was well stocked with towels and clothes. There were two of us but I’d say you could probably sleep 4-5 comfortably. This place is very cozy and private, I loved how it was wide open and everything was easy to find and operate. The little book nook room is comfortable and very cozy. This place was alot of fun and I would come back here in a heartbeat. Mackenzie was very responsive and even had some great recommendations for hikes and food. It being winter a few things are closed down but we were able to find a good handful of places, cafes & bakery’s in town only minutes to Stockholm. We drove to Nelson and Wabasha (only 15 minutes from our stay) and had a great time. Thank you !

Great location! 15 min from Red Wing, less than 10 min from Frontenac State Park and Lake City. Beautiful location! Peaceful and loved the super friendly animals!!!! There is a train that occasionally goes by, but it wasn’t disturbing at all. Would definitely come back!
