Monthly Rentals in Glenquin, Carron

I loved the peace and quiet, and being able to see the ponies, birds, clouds, rain, and rainbows from the big windows. Corofin is close (don’t miss the Morning Dew cafe), and the Burren National Park is on the doorstep. Mike and Marie were friendly, welcoming, and willing to share local knowledge. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen tiny but functional. A great base for exploring the area.

We stayed at 2 ABNBs before staying at Ute’s. Ute and her place was the best and better than other accommodations we stay in other parts of the world. The house is warm and cosy besides being functional and well equipped with the things we need. It is nice to listen to Ute’s stories of life on the farm what with dealing with foxes and her experience with strong storm. Max, the friendly and playful dog is always there waiting for us with wagging tail. We have fresh organic farm eggs straight from the hens kept by Ute. We have ultimate admiration for such a brave and resourceful Ute. Will definitely stay at the same place again the next time we are in the area again.

I have always been fascinated by the Burren, and this was an excellent base for exploring, particularly the Burren National Park. Bríd is delightful and very kind, even bringing us treats on Hallowe’en night! The cottage was peaceful and cozy, very clean and well-equipped. (If you are coffee-drinkers as we are, be forewarned and bring your own supplies!) All in all, it was an excellent place to stay for five nights.

We had such a lovely stay at Shirley’s lodge! The cottage was absolutely charming—cozy, clean, and full of character. The views were breathtaking and made our time in Ireland feel even more magical. Shirley was the sweetest host, and the fresh bread she made for us was such a thoughtful (and delicious!) touch. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful and authentic Irish countryside experience. Thank you, Shirley!
