Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Glen Rose

We, 6 gals out for a relaxing girls trip, found this historic house charming; the kitchen was very well equipped with all we needed, and the bathrooms were great  Another good feature is the location; close to everything we wanted to see and do.  We do, however, have some input and suggestions to make it even better.  A manual of instructions would be extremely helpful. Once we identified the thermostat, operating it was highly confusing and 'more than challenging'.  Also, we couldn't get the TV to work but finally figured it out ourselves. This is where printed instructions would be very much appreciated.  Several rooms had burned-out light bulbs, including the dining room where we could have used the full light.  The hot tub picture on your site is very deceiving.  We found this tub to be very questionable for safe access and there is no ledge around it on which to sit; you are either in or out.  And a final suggestion - noting in your description that the stairway is very steep.

We stayed here 3 nights over spring break as a family of 6. I gave this a 5 star review, as the host is very responsive, and property was generally as described. The location is pretty tucked away, and we appreciated the seclusion for some quiet family time. The hot tub was amazing, and the ample number of beds was great. The kids loved the detached game room! A few caveats/feedback: -the floors could definitely be cleaner. We ended up all having to wear house shoes full time bc our feet were getting grimy just walking around the house. -the extra toilet paper was great, as was the shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. -I would not recommend this location for kids under 6 years old (the age of our youngest) due to the steep outdoor steps and lack of railing down to the water. Not necessarily dangerous- just not ideal for little ones. -the deck/patio area is huge and very nice for lounging. Not the best kept in regard to light fixtures/cleanliness, but functional. Overall awesome!!

It’s a beautiful home and location. We would stay here again. We appreciated all the special touches that made us feel welcomed. We were able to settle right in and enjoy ourselves!

This is a wonderful little jewel in Grandbury! Nicole was always responsive, provided everything we needed, and even a few extra touches like coffee pods, make up cloths, water, and nice hand soap! It is decorated so cute, beds are comfy, everything was perfect! Don’t hesitate to book here for a lovely stay!

This house is a decorator’s dream! Loved all the attention to detail and you can tell Ashley poured lots of love into this historic 1925 home away from home.

Brett stepped in late for us when we had issues with another booking we had. Brett responded quickly and was able to get us in. The place was amazing and right what me and my family were looking for spring break weekend.

This place is a quick drive to dinosaur valley state park. It’s a beautifully decorated home and the hosts are responsive to any issues during your stay. We had 14 people stay here and the only thing i would point out is that the bunkbeds are so small they are really only suitable for small children not teens or adults. So that’s something to keep in mind depending on your group dynamics. Besides that it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay!

Perfect country home. Kids had a blast in the pool and playing outside. It was a perfect glimpse of country life.

The house had everything we needed! The decor was so interesting and fun. We loved the record player, records and games. The four bedrooms and two baths were great. The weather made sitting on the patio very comfortable. The kitchen was very conducive for cooking. The drive to the square was easy and convenient. It was a great weekend. Thank you!

Loved the house, plenty of parking for our carport of ladies. The house was clean for the most part and definitely would stay again.

A beautiful view of the lake any time of the day. The back deck is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house had a great layout, and we loved the large kitchen, comfy furniture, and having onsite laundry.

Great place. Very clean. Well stocked. Totally bummed that we picked the one weekend that it was cold 🥶 but the pool looked awesome and the lake looked calm. Will stay again!

Zelda’s place was an awesome home that was like a tucked away paradise! Very private and secluded, but still with a lot to do in the area. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

Kathy is a great host! She is very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. The place is also very unique. Love the atmosphere!

Enjoyed our tiny home on a hill in the middle of nowhere! The sunrises and sunsets were unmatched! We loved that we could take our mini schnauzers and enjoy a little serenity for a couples getaway. Would love to come back and do more porch swinging and cooking out. Thank you for a great weekend!

James provided a great place for our adventure weekend. The place was way better than expected. I would stay again.

The host was very accommodating and responsive. The cabin has everything I needed for my time there. The kitchen is stocked with some measure of whatever appliance you require for preparing meals. The bed was comfortable in my opinion. The space is certainly tiny, so there's not much in the way of luggage or clothing storage, but that's really beyond remedy.

This definitely is one of our top favorite stays; words cannot describe how peaceful & beautiful the surrounding land was, but the house was so calm, comfortable and made us feel right at home. It was large & spacious, and absolutely would be a great space for a large family to relax comfortably.

What an amazing place to stay! We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was close enough to Ft. Worth to visit friends and Granbury where we had some work to do the next couple of days. Super peaceful and comfortable! Wish we had more time to be able to explore the ranch! The shower was fantastic and I was determined to use the hot tub even though it was cold outside! Really unique experience staying in a safari tent. I highly recommend it!

We had a great time . The hostess was very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed all the amenities - especially the big dock and kayaks! The space was small - but perfect for a weekend away with my husband ! Highly recommended 😁
