Hytten ligger kun en times biltur fra Stavanger. Det er sol fra morgen til kveld. Et veldig koselig sted med badekulp, badstu og badestamp, skitrekk, fiskemuligheter i Bjerkreimselva og skiløyper rett forsn hytten. Stedet tilbylekemuligheter for barn og voksne. Fisking, besøk til gruver, leking i liten bekk rett foran hytten. Det er markerte turløyper fra Turistforeningen og mange fine turer til topper og fredelige tjern. Slapp foran peisen ute eller inne, i badstu/ boblebadet morgen/ kveld.
