A short distance to Baden-Baden (12 km), Bad-Herrenalb (13 km), Bad-Wildbad (31 km), Mummelsee (35 km) and many other beautiful destinations.

We wanted a stopover on our trip from the Netherlands to Italy that was more than just a roadside motel, and we found exactly that. The location is stunning, with an easy and scenic drive through charming small towns. Nestled in a lush forest with fantastic hiking paths, the nearby watchtower offers breathtaking views, setting the perfect mood for our stay. The apartment is spacious, spotless, and just as described. Its old-school style enhances the forest cabin experience, complemented by modern appliances. Though it feels remote, we had no issues with water, electricity, heating, or internet. What truly set this stay apart was the warmth of the hosts. Karl, with his deep knowledge of the area, guided us through the best hiking trails, sharing local information along the way. Simona welcomed us like family and prepared a breakfast that felt like home-cooked, complete with homemade blueberry pie and Black Forest cake. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Magical old town apartment with a dream view

I was in Gerensbach for two weeks. It was so comfortable, like my own home. I didn't have a car, but it wasn't uncomfortable. You can walk to a place with a big grocery store, and you can make food in the small kitchen. There are also many restaurants around the accommodation. Everything was delicious. (You can also drink wine on the first floor from Wednesday to Friday!) Julia responded quickly every time I contacted her, and she resolved it right away. We always greeted each other with a smile, and it became a happy memory. It was the best. Thank you. If I come back here someday in the distant future, I'll definitely use this place again. Thanks for making happy memories. Julia😃

We found the accommodation well and there was plenty of free parking in front of the house. Check-in was contactless using a lockbox. The apartment was very clean and everything necessary was available. The kitchen was very well equipped (you could even bake). Towels, charcoal, lighter and a grill were available and in good condition. We felt very comfortable and found the garden very nice and rustic. A real gem - a perfect oasis to relax and unwind 🌞

A special little apartment in a beautiful style. If you are looking for nature and tranquility, this is just the thing! Connection by bus is very good until early evening and so you can do a lot in the area. Above all, the castle ruins, the nature reserves and Baden-Baden are worth a visit! The restaurant Sternen in Staufenberg itself is also not to be forgotten and within walking distance. Armin and Christine are very friendly and approachable and are always interested in the guests. But also leave the free space where it is desired. Thanks! 😊

We had a great time in the apartment and felt very comfortable! Especially the fireplace and the location of the apartment were ideal for us. The place is a perfect starting point for many hikes and beautiful places in the surrounding area. A public parking space is just around the corner as well as a supermarket. Sabine and Dieter were always available and gave us great tips for the area, thank you very much for everything, we will be happy to come back!
