House vacation rentals in Gémozac

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well-equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

A nice relaxing time after a long motorcycle ride. Pool, fountain, lights, nice and well arranged natural space. a much-appreciated breakfast to start the day. i recommend it.

As soon as we arrived, Nicole was welcoming. His house is amazing, perfect in the heat with the pool, but also close to many cities with lots of activity!

We were two families with 5 children in total and had a great time at Stéphane's! The place is ideal, very well located, a short walk to the beach. The kids had a great time and so did the adults! Thank you so much for hosting us and for this beautiful relaxing time. We recommend it without hesitating!!!

We had a really great stay. We enjoyed a relaxing few days by the pool. The accommodation was very clean and we found the hosts to be very friendly and communication was 10/10.

a very nice accommodation in a very nice village, on the edge of the estuary. very clean, nicely decorated, with an outdoor plancha, a garden, a few chickens (in an enclosure) and a few cats that you will meet at random. very discreet and very friendly owners. a tavern (Ma zo li) has recently opened just opposite (Thursday to Sunday): option to eat grilled meat or fish, mussels on Friday evening, have a drink, in a wooded place. At very affordable prices. The accommodation is conveniently located for visiting Meshers, Talmont sur Gironde, Royan, Mornac sur Seudre, Mortagne sur Gironde (port).

Mortagne is a great place for those who want peace and quiet without being too far from amenities and places to visit. The accommodation is beautiful and pleasant, it is perfect for 4 people and can easily accommodate 6 or 7. Fanny is very responsive and professional. We'll be back!

A short stay because we only came for the weekend and during a climbing competition but we are delighted with the accommodation. It met our expectations perfectly, and as described. Thanks to Elodie for the clarity of her explanations.

a home as we like it... we find everything we need to cook... a very friendly host... bird songs to wake you up... The best pineau in the world at the Château de Beaulon and a restaurant close by that serves good little dishes... we would have stayed a little longer

Dominique and Gérard are very kind. I enjoyed my stay at this little house in the countryside where I felt at home as well as my little dog who was able to enjoy the garden and long walks in their vineyards.

What a little gem we found! It was just perfect for a few days to acclimatise and decompress, in a peaceful and private little home. It was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable, with a great little terrace to relax in the evenings at. We had a wonderful bonus of local wildlife being abundant and friendly, so felt truly immersed in rural France. The supermarket and small town of Cozes was only five minutes drive away, so could stock up on supplies and have a relax at the bar with friendly locals. Sylvie was the perfect hostess and we are envious of her wonderful home and lifestyle - we will definitely want to return for another stay!

Beautiful Villa in a nice peaceful location

We were greeted by Florence who was lovely and accommodating. The accommodation is PERFECT for both adults and children. We spent the weekend there with young children who were able to play safely in the garden. The house is very clean, the linens smell good... and on top of all that, the decoration and renovation are done with great taste. Thanks again Florence

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

Very clean accommodation, tastefully decorated, a real feast for the eyes. Philippe and Jocelyne welcomed us in person and with open arms. 1 st breakfast offered, everything is there, even butter and jam💕 The accommodation is very well equipped. There's even toothpaste if you forget to slip it into the washbag😉. For the kitchen, it's very nice to find salt, pepper, even the essentials for vinaigrette. This is far from the case everywhere! It helps and it's a great bonus. With Florian, our two dogs Pakito and Olaf, we greatly enjoyed our two days at your place. We recommend +++ Philippe and Jocelyne's accommodation. PS: very nice walks to do with your pets.
