The old house at Solnes Gard

Part of duplex on active farm. We are the third generation to run the farm after my husband's grandparents got the farm as a wedding gift. Here you get to stay in the original farmhouse from about 1950. We live in the other part of the residence ourselves. Cozy place, fully furnished and with everything you need for shorter or longer stays. We have 8 alpacas and many goats on the farm, you can join the care on demand and if we have the opportunity in a busy everyday life when we are in full job and have four small children.

Høyseth is a hidden gem located in the far end of Stardalen valley at the gateway to Jostadal glacier national park. Rent one of our simple and charming cabins that sleep 2-6 persons, put up your tent or park your caravan in the heart of West-Norwegian nature. The camping is an excellent starting point for hiking trips to Haugabreen glacier, Oldeskaret and Briksdalen during summer and Snønipa(1827m) for back country skiing in winter and spring. A high standard cabin by the shoreline of the Aurlandsfjord, Western Norway. The area lies peacefully by the fjord, with its own parking lot and a quay with the opportunity for boat rental. The cabin has three bedrooms, a veranda facing the fjord, and is equipped with fiber-optical WiFi, TV with ASTRA international channels, shower, washing machine, dishwasher and a wood stove. Boat must be booked in advance of arrival.
