Opposite the Island of Mull and 40 miles from Fort William we are situated 3 miles west of Lochaline, the cottage is 3 years old and purpose built for holiday lets. The property is located in our own garden but is completely self contained, accommodating up to 4 people. The area of Morvern is a fantastic holiday destination. Whether just for a long weekend or for a full week there is plenty to see and do. It is also a good starting point if you would like to explore more of the West Coast.

It is ideal for visitors who want the convenience of staying in the town, with all facilities, shops and transport links within a couple of minutes walk. Dunans Cottage is situated in the beautiful Knapdale Forest 1.9 miles from Cairnbaan within a National Scenic Area. The views are fantastic! The Cottage is off the beaten track but within a traditional farming hamlet with access via a forestry track ( see illustrated map ). Many outdoor and indoor activities are available within the area but the peace and quiet at Dunans are unique.

Bearnus Bothy on Isle of Ulva

Bearnus Bothy has been lovingly renovated using our principle of ecological design to repair, repurpose and use what has been washed-up by the sea. It is one of the last old residences outside of the main dwellings around the Main House on Ulva. As such there are no neighbours until you reach the tiny community on Gometra - where we live - another three miles down the track.
