I bedroom apartment in historic downtown building. 2 blocks from Knox College; 3 blocks from Amtrak Station. Several good restaurants and bars nearby; downtown Y a block away. 12' ceilings, hardwood floors, full kitchen and bathroom, coin laundry down the hall. Heat from radiators. Window AC units in summer. TV in bedroom. (For some reason, the listing says 4 beds; that is incorrect.) The apt. is on the 2nd floor: 26 steps. (No elevator.) Parking in lot across the street. Host lives nearby.

This place has everything I was looking for. Tyler and his family met us at check in and were very friendly. My parents drove in from Arizona with their trailer and Tyler was nice enough to let them park it on the property for the duration of the stay. Even with the trailer, there was still a ton of land for their two large dogs and our little dog to run around and enjoy themselves. The hot tub and fire pit area were great and they even left a huge bundle of wood for us to use.The house was immaculate and decorated nicely. The house has a lot of history that you can read about in one section of the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and silverware. The dishwasher made clean up easy. The dining room had a large table where we enjoyed all our family meals. There is a washer and dryer that we used while there that was very convenient. In all The whole house/land was very clean, private and spacious. Highly recommended.

This New Orleans historic apartment was a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Galva! The apartment had high ceilings, a beautiful bedroom with French doors, a vintage bathtub and New Orleans decor! It was a spacious, comfortable, clean and unique place to stay within walkable distance to everything in Galva. Kevin was such a great and responsive host! We most definitely recommend this historic apartment to friends and family and we will stay again!

Very nice place, would recommend. The home was clean and orderly and the neighborhood was pleasant. Supplies and their locations were clearly labeled and the house manual was comprehensive, including local recommendations. We had a little trouble on arrival because we weren't familiar with the key lock box. This was entirely due to arriving in the wee hours of the morning when it was dark. Once we figured it out, it was easy to operate day or night. If visiting downtown Aledo, the location is a bit of a walk, but we never had much trouble finding parking near downtown even during a large local festival. If we were to visit Aledo again, we would definitely try to book this location again.
