Villa vacation rentals in Gaiole in Chianti

Our stay at Mariella's beautiful home was a highlight of our five week trip throughout Italy. Peacefully situated between Florence and Siena, this villa offers a welcoming respite from the hustle and bustle of the cities. It was also super convenient to the vineyards throughout Chianti. Waking up every morning to the sunrise views over the valley and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening were the perfect beginning and ending to each day. The pool was even larger than we imagined and provided days of entertainment sprinkled in during a week of sightseeing and wine tasting. I cannot recommend this home, location, or host enough. You will NOT be disappointed!

Wonderful stay at the Villa among the vineyards in Panzano. Vicky, the host, is the owner of Le Fonti winery with the villa surrounded by their vineyards and olive groves. The view from the villa is absolutely stunning. The town of Panzano is very cute. We bought groceries at the Coop and made breakfast each morning, gathering in the cozy well equipped kitchen. There is a courtyard immediately outside the doors of the villa with a large table, and again amazing views. Our time in the villa was so relaxing! Though we went to several wineries, a highlight was a very personal tour of the winery, wine making process and wines by Vicky at Le Fonti. She spent time discussing/pouring the different wines, even bringing over the same wine from different years to show us the difference the weather/grape stress influences the final taste. Overall exactly what we wanted from a Tuscan experience and really enriched by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable host.

Spacious, private, well decorated Tuscan villa. Very peaceful yard with beautiful views including a hot tub we enjoyed (not as hot as hot tubs in USA but still relaxing) - kitchen was well stocked also with thoughtful bread eggs and pasta and caffe. Grazie!!

We had a wonderful stay! The property sits on a stunningly large lot surrounded by trees, which gave it a peaceful and private feel. The pool was a highlight — spacious, clean, and with beautiful views that made every swim feel special. Inside, the decor was tasteful and thoughtfully done, blending comfort with style. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing escape in nature without compromising on style!

There are very few times when a stay not only lives up to expectations, but exceeds them. Our stay at the Lazy Oak did just that. There are no adjectives to truly describe the beauty of the villa and the surrounding countryside. Sitting at the infinity pool, looking out over the olive groves before a dinner prepared in house by a Tuscan chef as the sun sets will go down as one of the greatest days of our lives. We visited the nearby town twice for gelato but the truth is we did not want to leave the property! If you are looking for a peaceful quintessential Tuscan vacation in the countryside, look no further than the Lazy Oak. Mario is on property to tend to any needs but keeps to himself unless called upon. We actually loved his company and called him over to talk on multiple occasions…with the help of Google translation of course. Thank you Mario and Alesandro for an unforgettable stay. A beautiful home to base ourselves in while exploring Tuscany. Lovely country surrounds. House has everything you need, spacious. Gorgeous terraces and pool. Enjoyed Volterra, San Gimignano and Siena but always great to come back to our Tuscan home! Silvia gave fantastic recommendations - pasta making at Ristorante de Beppino and in house chef Beppe highlights. Also loved Monterosola winery tasting. Very highly recommend. One of the best!

Beautiful property. Staff were amazing, responsive and friendly. Location ideal for visiting other cities by car. Exactly as pictured. Breakfast which was added on a day to day basis was spectacular. Very relaxing sitting on patio and by the pool.

We stayed for a month and hope to do the same next year. The location is beautiful; the property is incredibly relaxing and comfortable and the proximity to driving around Tuscany to visit other villages and cities is perfect. This was our second long stay at this location. There is a 25 minute drive to park and catch the train to Florence - very convenient, easy and safe place to leave the parked car.

Simone was a truly fantastic host. He was always so friendly, eager to help, and checked in with us every few days to make sure everything was okay, but never to the point it felt like it was encroaching on our privacy. Both check in and check out were super easy. The villa and its surroundings are absolutely stunning. I’d go as far to say it’s the best airbnb I have stayed in. The photos don’t show just how many areas there are on different levels which is great if you like to have a bit of privacy or different views every now and then. We loved watching the sunset over Tuscany each night. If you find steep hills a bit of a challenge, you may have difficulty walking to/from town, but this is no problem if you’ve hired a car. Caroline's villa was absolutely stunning. We visited as a family of 8 adults and it was even more beautiful in person. It's completely private with amazing views all around. It's also in a great location to visit other picturesque villages nearby with a car. The pool was a great addition to combat the Tuscan heat. As this is in the countryside, be aware that there will be insects and wildlife. We came across a snake and a scorpion, but that's not an issue with the house, but rather the natural environment. The property manager Bianca greeted us upon arrival. She was super friendly and helpful with tips. And Caroline left us super detailed recommendations for restaurants, itineraries, and wineries. She was always available and friendly. We had an amazing time and would definitely visit again!

We were a group of 8 staying at Villa Il Castellaccio and it was the most amazing experience. Leonardo was very helpful leading up to our stay helping plan a night with a private chef dinner. The food was some of the best we had! The Villa was private, more than enough space for our group and the grounds around the pool was always pristine. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful place. Our group already discussed coming back again and staying longer. Thank you Leonardo!

We just checked out of this wonderful villa today, and it has truly been one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We arrived with my husband’s parents, my husband, and our toddler, and from the moment we got there, everything exceeded our expectations. Alex greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of the villa and the property, and provided detailed printed information about nearby restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, bakeries, and wine tours. The property also produces its own wine, which was available for purchase and could be conveniently delivered to our villa during our stay. Alex shared his contact number and made himself available in case we needed anything—which we really appreciated. One of the highlights of the property was the stunning infinity pool overlooking the vineyard and offering breathtaking views. It was the perfect setting to disconnect and truly live in the moment. The air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly. Thank you Alex!

We are a family of 5 who had a fantastic stay. The house is huge and very nice and the view is unbeatable. All stress leaves the body when you are there. Everywhere you looked, there were exceptionally beautiful views. In addition, Lucia and Frederico were so warm people and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back!

This is one of the most beautiful and unforgettable locations we have ever visited. To be able to wake up in a centuries old villa and look out over the hillside with olive groves and vineyards was spectacular. Janine was so helpful to meet us and help us get acclimated and then provide a list with local wineries, restaurants, small towns to visit and things to do. I was genuinely impressed by this place. So beautiful! The pool is incredible, they had prosecco and limoncello for us and provided several supplies for a successful stay. I would 100000% come back here!

What a great place. Very quiet and beautiful views. We had a great time. We loved the serenity of the place. You do not hear anything but your own breathing😊. I can definitely recommend this house. You reach the house of road but that has its charme too!

We had an amazing time in the villa from Tommaso. It has all the amenities that you expect from a villa in this price class. The view looking over the valley is beautiful. The communication with the host was very pleasant and swift. As an example; The existing tv got broken in the evening and the next morning Tomasso installed a new one with all the modern features like Apple Airplay. Since the weather was not great the first days you can imagine that this was very nice to have a good working tv. Anyone who is considering renting a villa in the surrounding of San Donato, I highly recommend this villa from Tommaso.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located in the heart of the Valdichiana with easy and clear access to the surrounding towns. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with a combination of olive trees, grapevines, flowers and even herbs like rosemary, basil and mint that we used in our cooking. The rooms were spacious and very private. Our group of 6 were more than comfortably accommodated, each with its own bathroom and AC units that worked well. The two kitchens served us well. We mainly utilized the outside kitchen as the weather throughout our stay was perfect. The kitchens were well stocked with all of the necessary cooking items. There were some items that we needed to purchase at the local supermarket, including shower gel, paper towels, napkins, etc. For a one week stay we would recommend extra towels, especially for the pool. Overall, I would highly recommend La Bacaia as a base to fully enjoy your Tuscan vacation.

We had an amazing time in Francesco's place. The house is wondefull. Spacious, clean and very modern. The garden and surroundings are very beautiful. Francesco is an excellent host. He is responsive and his service is ourstanding. He welcomed us with pizza and wine en he even brought us a box with delicious treats for breakfast every morning. I can recommend Francesco's place for everyone who want to stay in a central location to discover Tuscany and stay in a charming house full of luxury. Couldn't be better.

The house is beautiful and very big. It is located just outside of Buonconvento and offers complete privacy. A car is an advantage. The rooms are spacious, there are mosquito nets above all beds and enough bathrooms and toilets for everyone. In general, the house is very well equipped, both in the kitchen and otherwise. The pool is slightly elevated, beautiful, large, with natural shade all around and offers a magnificent view on the surrounding countryside. In the huge garden you can eat, linger, play... There is even a small basketball court. But beware: right next door there are wild blackberries and the ball can be lost :) In Buonconvento there is a coop, a fine gelateria and a good coffee with the famous and fine products of Le Dolcezze di Nanni. For a good pizza, the drive to the Mulinum restaurant is worth it a little outside, they have their own mill and process their own grain. We highly recommend the house.

The Villa is absolutely beautiful in a great location with spectacular mountain views and sunsets. The Villa is even better than the pictures, extremely clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, peaceful with all modern luxuries. Our host Silvana was awesome and was excellent and clear in all communications. The owners were very warm and friendly. If you are looking for a quiet escape in the Tuscany region, look no further. We will certainly be back in the future. I highly recommend scheduling a private chef to indulge you in great Italian food at the villa. Our chef Mariella was wonderful and the food was incredible. Awesome stay and experience all around.
