Carlos’s place is amazing. The rooms were very comfortable. The location of the house was great, close to the beach and the center of the city. Carlos was very responsive to our concerns. The place would have been even more perfect with a pool in it. 🤣 But seriously, we loved our stay there and would definitely book there again!

Cool Condo for your Cozy Stay

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We enjoyed our stay at Doville’s condo. The location within the Lely Resort was great! We walked to workout every morning then went for a swim. The bike and walking trails were beautiful! All the extra amenities she had in the condo was an added bonus. We used the beach umbrella and chairs to visit a beach in Marco Island one day. So much to do in the area! We already booked for next March!

Sanibel Harbour Resort - 714: Coastal condo

JulieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The resort was absolutely gorgeous and everything I could have asked for and so much more. Mother Nature was not our friend however the staff helped with any of the uncontrollable situations handed to us ALL this past week. My mom and I loved it so much we looked into the real-estate listings. I can’t wait to come back when it’s not in the beginning of hurricane season and get a dry look around. With that being said, this resort has a fantastic beach for shelling and amazing views. Even the dolphins came to swim close to the shore. 10 out of 10, can’t wait to sea you again!!

Lauren has done up the place very well and having beach towels and beach chairs really helped us. The place is clean and the view from the balcony overlooking the water body is gorgeous. Having a pull out sofa in the living area is an added bonus. The best part is that good eateries and a grocery store are walking distance from the apartment. Lauren is extremely responsive and helped us whenever we needed it. We would certainly like to stay here again if we visit Naples.

Bay view and possible two family rental!

ArleneRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
we had a wonderful time at Robert's place. Everything was as described. the island is a perfect getaway for anyone that wants to go on an adventure and get away from the hustle and bustle. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook, it was perfect! Everything was well thought of in this home. On a side note, golf carts need to be booked months in advance and are pretty pricey and we hoped to walk around the island but we're told upon checkin that was not allowed. we could only go to the beach and back to the property. You could walk along the beach though.

Kari’s condo on Ft. Myers beach was all I envisioned and more! My 15 year old granddaughter and I were just looking for some peace and tranquility and we found it here. The condo has so much space, way more than we needed, but we enjoyed the views, the updated interior, the privacy and the beautiful beach. Kari was very accommodating and answered all of my questions immediately. She even had a volleyball delivered to the doorstep so my granddaughter could enjoy some beach volleyball! The unit is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but only a trolley ride away if you choose to visit. The sunsets and the sunshine were fabulous. I will not hesitate to book again…

Lovers Key Beach Club Suite

RobertRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very clean and well equipped condo on the 10th floor overlooking the gulf and bay.l From our lanai we watched dolphins, ospreys and one morning a bald eagle diving for fish. Scott was a great host and responded to any questions we had within minutes. The property has a nice private beach, pool and 4 weber gas grills. Flippers restaurant is only steps away. The only issue is that the new bridge onto Ft.Myers Beach is under construction so at times there is construction noise and access to the beach south of the bridge is blocked. This was not a big issue for us and overall we had a very enjoyable week.

Blue Beach Bungalow

TrishaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were very impressed with Andy’s commitment to making our stay great. Unfortunately, the pool heater element went out from a lizard getting into it, so it took a couple of days (due to it being the weekend) to get it back up and running, but Andy was on it and went above and beyond to accommodate us! The home was clean and had a nice open concept and was close to shopping, restaurants, and not too far from beaches. We would definitely rent from Andy again!

We highly recommend this vacation house, and hope to return again in the future.

Beach View Getaway at Gullwing Beach Resort

Ann MarieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Beach View Getaway at Gullwing Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived, Lisa proved to be the best host anyone could ask for. She was incredibly responsive, helpful, and accommodating, ensuring that our every need was met promptly and efficiently. The property itself exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a perfect home away from home. There was construction still going on but that didn’t stop the overall charm of the condo, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoyment. We highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking to stay in Fort Myers. Thank you, Lisa, for making our trip so memorable.

Your guide to Fort Myers

All About Fort Myers

Perhaps the best testament to the charms of the Fort Myers area is the litany of boldfaced names who’ve been drawn to this pocket of Lee County in southwest Florida over the past 150 years, including Gilded Age industrialists, a famous artist, and even a pioneering aviator. The area extends down the Caloosahatchee River from the inland city of Fort Myers, past the manatee-filled canals of Cape Coral, and out to the Gulf of Mexico, where a chain of barrier islands boast miles of white-sand beaches and endless Florida sunshine. It’s the weather, of course, that ensures most itineraries are centered on the great outdoors: golfing, catching a spring training baseball game, spotting spoonbills while kayaking on Tarpon Bay, or paddling through nearly 200 miles of waterways on the Great Calusa Blueway.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Fort Myers

Take after Thomas Edison and visit Fort Myers in the winter. What’s not to love about a 74-degree Fahrenheit January day, after all, while the more northerly latitudes are being battered by rain, sleet, and snow? Spring and fall are pretty delightful, too, with temperatures in the 80s and water temperatures in the 70s. Summer brings vacationing crowds and hot, muggy days, with highs in the 90s and frequent rain — but also, bathtub-warm water that averages 87 degrees.

Top things to do in Fort Myers

Thomas Edison and Henry Ford winter estates

In 1885, Thomas Edison purchased 13 acres on the banks of the Caloosahatchee and later built his dream house there, dubbing it the Seminole Lodge. Thirty years later, he convinced Henry Ford to buy the place next door, so the two friends could winter in the sun together. Today, the estates are open to the public as museums; highlights include Edison’s restored research lab and a botanical garden.

Fort Myers River District

Often overshadowed by the nearby beach towns, the city of Fort Myers is worth your attention. Its brick-lined streets are dotted with palm trees (those were Edison’s idea), and many of its buildings were made from wood reclaimed from the original fort that gave the city its name. This walkable zone is filled with shops, international restaurants, and historic buildings like the Sidney & Berne Davis Arts Center, housed in the former 1933 U.S. Post Office.

Captiva and Sanibel Island

Be sure to squeeze in a day trip to these nearby island beach towns, located adjacent to one another. Sanibel is famous for its lighthouse and bonanza of seashells, while charming Captiva offers miles of beaches, scenic sunsets, and golf.
