Cabin vacation rentals in Fontana Lake

We chose this cabin as a good jumping off point for our adventures in the national park, but it was a great destination in its own right. The kids really enjoyed the setting and fishing off the dock.

The cabin has a cozy feeling and is located nice and secluded at the end of a neighborhood, with plenty of privacy. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the outside but the bonfire looks like a great place to sit outside with family or friends. When booking, we didn’t realize the upstairs bedroom does not have a door, although this did not bother us because it was just my wife and I. We would go definitely come back here. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Wonderful time in this home, tons of space and close to everything downtown. Lovely location with a peaceful dock to sit out for coffee. Home was comfortable and everything was as described. Thanks again!

Property (farm) is beautiful and well kept. Cabin is modern, well appointed, very clean and well cared for. Open views of the surrounding mountains, fields, river and farm animals is so nice it almost seems unreal. Note: there is not a full kitchen but instead a make shift kitchenette area with a portable burner, microwave, toaster oven, etc - fine for preparing simple meals. Excellent host. Good, fast, spot-on communication. Overall a quiet, ideal place to get away and relax.

This place was great. It is a small cabin but feels roomy inside. It has the multi-game arcade, pool table, hot tub, private pond as well as a community pool and another pond across the street. It is not super close to town, but there are plenty of good restaurants on Wears Valley Rd so it's not even necessary to go into town if you don't want to.

We had such an amazing time! The lake and the fireflies were just amazing. Could not have asked for a more relaxing fun-filled vacation!

Beautiful place. Anniversary trip for us to get away. Rainbow Lake is really more of a pond, but still loved canoeing on it. Very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and loved having a screen porch to enjoy the property without the bugs. Matt was very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was unforgettable. We had the best time in the cabin. The view is breathtaking and it's close enough to all the attractions and restaurants we went to. The cabin looks exactly as it does in the pictures and the area is very safe. We absolutely loved it!

We searched for a cabin for a long time, and in the end got tired of all the options and just picked this one. From the moment we entered we know we had made a great choice and we ended up booking an extra night. The cabin is supercosy and well organized, the view is amazing. There is one cabin at like 60 meters away or something but when you look out on your deck you feel like you're all alone in the world and it's a wonderful feeling. I can 100% recommend staying here.

Staying at Lee’s cabin was an absolute dream. Perched atop a mountain with wide open views in every direction, the setting was peaceful and awe-inspiring. The home itself is a gorgeous 70’s modern build, full of character with striking angles, massive windows, and natural light pouring in from every side. It’s the perfect blend of style, comfort, and immersion in nature. Lots of stone, glass, and wood. Lee was a fantastic host—communication was clear, check-in was seamless, and everything about the experience felt easy and welcoming. I found myself wishing I could extend my stay, but I knew snagging more time at a place like this wouldn’t be easy! Truly one of the most memorable stays I’ve had. No complaints at all—just gratitude. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Our stay was amazing! The views were stunning, and Parker's recommendations were perfect. My wife and I loved every minute of our stay and will 100% be returning. The only note I have is that the furniture and bed are more aesthetically pleasing than comfortable, but believe me, it does not matter! The stunning views, Parker's wonderful communication, and everything else vastly outweigh a slightly uncomfortable couch or a minor crick in my neck. Also, Disney is one of the sweetest things I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I wish he liked humans a little more so we could give all of the pets and love.

Wonderful view! We spent so much time relaxing on the porch and in the hot tub gazing at the Smokies. We also loved the seclusion & privacy - completely away from traffic noise and surrounded by beautiful forest. The house is charming and had everything we needed. My brother and I stayed here for a night in-between us doing a bunch of adventurous things in the smoky mountains. The place is gorgeous, and was super clean and stocked up when we arrived. there were so many thoughtful touches that we noticed upon checking-in, like a guidebook filled with all the local recommendations/how to use the amenities, towels and robes for the hot tub/sauna, and, my perfonal favorite, a smores kit for the campfire! Another thing to note is the stunning views this place has! Waking up in the lift gives you the most breathtaking view of the smoky mountains. As well as when you relax in the hot tub you can look out into nature and relax in the serenity and take in the view. Krista was an amazing host and was so friendly and proactive about check-in and check-out. We will definitely be staying here again if we are ever in the area! And if you love nature, stunning views, a clean, comfortable, and cozy place to stay, then look no further than Krista's A-frame!

A wonderful little get-away for the two of us that stayed. It was absolutely perfect and such a special place to make memories! We kept saying, “They truly thought of everything!” The hot tub was well taken care of, the heart shaped bathtub was a perfect relaxation spot, the cabin was immaculately clean, and they included all details you could have needed! I hope we can book this Airbnb again & create even more memories! 💙

The view is incredible! We enjoyed early morning soaks in the hot tub overlooking the Smoky Mountains. The carpenter bees were a nuisance on the porch the first day, but they seemed to settle in after that, and didn’t bother us. Our Hyundai sonata (front wheel drive) made it up to the cabin but the drive is much easier with four wheel drive. The home was clean and there was absolutely no musty smell that I’ve noticed in a few cabins in the past. The town of Bryson city was super close and very cute to walk around or stop for lunch. Highly recommend!

Heather’s place was a little slice of heaven! If you are looking for peace, beauty, and still close to town this is perfect! I felt like I could stay there forever!! It was the perfect place to relax after an AT section hike! Highly recommended!!

Mark's cabin was just what we expected. The cabin has a great porch to sit on and enjoy the creek. Was such an peaceful place to stay.

Had an awesome time with friends at the house. The house was very well taken care of and comfortable. Jessica was super responsive and very accommodating. We explored the area and enjoyed some flyfishing as well as other river entertainment. Two heads up, first the path to the back yard area is currently in need of some improving , probably due to the copious amounts of rain there is a trough down the middle of the already step grade. Next, the lower floor deck has no railing, just a drop off to the steep hilled yard. The mattresses were all in good shape, the master bedroom would accommodate a small family ;) , the game room was very enjoyable. Would stay again.

The cabin is in a peaceful, secluded location. There are neighbors around, but it is hard to tell for the most part. The road to get up to the place i could see as challenging in certain weather or vehicles, but the directions are very descriptive and on point. We were able to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the city of Cherokee, Bryson city, and Maggie Valley, as well as go searching for waterfalls near Highland. The area is beautiful no matter which direction you go! Most favorite restaurants during the trip was Highlands Smokehouse in Highlands for some amazing brisket and Circle H Chophouse in Cherokee, NC--bonus points for this one due to watching elk walk right by the windows while dining! Overall, it was a great place to stay. The host is super responsive with any questions or concerns and active in ensuring that you have a great experience!

Mary was a great host & we absolutely loved Luna Lodge for a quick weekend getaway! Would recommend to any and every one!

The cabin views are breathtaking! The rustic design & details were amazing- especially the use of rebar / railroad spikes & antiques. We had a relaxing 10 days & saw almost all the highlights of the great smoky mountains, except the east side due to road closures. The cabin surroundings were so peaceful. Plan on a 20 minute drive with narrow windy roads from the main highway to the cabin. Don’t be discouraged - the view & cabin are worth it once you get there! Plan ahead for day trips. The private road is pretty narrow so be careful if you meet someone. We drove a rental mini van that made it but wish we had an awd. The kitchen has most of the essentials. The shower is a bit small. I wish I would have brought extra towels & a hairdryer - amenities I’m use to at other Airbnbs but didn’t read closely about for here. We enjoyed having a washer & dryer. We loved Ingles market in Bryson City. We had no cell coverage (AT&T) but internet was good. Appreciated having a smart tv.
