Fontana Lake fishing vacation rentals

We absolutly loved Suzy's place. With any cabin in the woods, yes there are going to be ants. As long as your responsible with your food (don't leave it out, leave open food hanging around) you will be fine. This is not the place to go if you don't like bug or bees. for a Cabin in the woods, it was perfect! The lake front was BEAUTIFUL. Our last night there, there was a thunderstorm with heavy rain. add the open windows and it was bliss! definitely considering making this a yearly trip! Thank you Suzy!

What a great trip! The house was perfect for four senior ladies on a Girls Trip. So much fun… wonderful time with friends, yummy food, beautiful surroundings… ate all of our meals on the spacious screened porch overlooking the lake. We are already planning on coming back next year!

Absolutely perfect. We stayed for the week with our five kids (6,4,3, & 1 year old twins) and had an amazing family vacation. The space worked perfectly for our needs as a large family with small kids and the beach area was especially perfect for toddler playtime. The waterfall across the way was stunning and we loved boating around, fishing, swimming, fires by the lake, and rainy evenings in the hot tub. Such an amazing place for families!

We loved our stay at Brenda's place! It was a great location, an easy walk to the lake. Everything was very comfortable. Brenda communicated very promptly and was very accommodating. We would stay here again!

We had a fantastic time! The house was clean and had tons of amenities and activities, especially for children. Shelly went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time and was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Excellent experience!

The sunsets from the porch are gorgeous. It is not only impressive that this home was built in just the perfect spot to catch an amazing sunset, but also nestled in the middle of Fontana Lake with a great view of the lake. I can’t say enough about this location! I’ve grown up coming to the Carolina’s and never knew about Fontana Lake. This cabin feels incredibly secluded and luxurious, but close enough to all the best adventure spots—Nantahala, Deep Creek, Smoky National Park, Fontana Lake access points, Appalachian Trail—you name it. There is even a great trailhead walking distance from the cabin that has great views of the lake, creeks, and challenging and diverse enough to walk 2-3x. We saw deer and wild turkey almost everyday and the wildflowers were in bloom all over. Additionally, the master bedroom has an amazing view from the bed. When I opened my eyes each morning, I had a view of the smokies that was mesmerizing. We all want to rent this cabin again!

Just spent 6 days at Jason's place and it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful enjoyed the lake. Spent with my husband's family and brought the dogs who enjoyed swimming! Definitely wld come back.. He also was very responsive to any and all my questions ahead of time and during our stay.

If you want to enjoy the most beautiful mountain lake in North Carolina, and stay in the most beautiful house on the lake, you need look no further than this Airbnb. Lake Santeetlah’s shoreline is mostly undeveloped; the water temperature is perfect for swimming; and the views are spectacular. Alisha is a gracious host. She will answer any question you have within minutes, yet she does not impose on your visit. The house is spotless; it easily sleeps six adults (3 couples) and two children (bunk beds). It is well equipped and has a cozy, family atmosphere. Be aware that the driveway can be daunting at first, but follow Alisha’s instructions for entering and exiting, and you will have no problems with any size passenger vehicle.

Daniel and Anna were GREAT host. The home was clean, quite and a great location for motorcycle riding. We loved it and would love to go back.

My family loved our stay at Wilstone! The home is lovely and pristine, with a warm and inviting family lodge feel. And the view is amazing! My teenage children enjoyed the downstairs rooms with private bathrooms and we all had fun playing pool. It was a fantastic set up for us! We’ve already agreed we want to go back!

Great place to stay. Perfect size for three people, and includes a pull out sofa which was more comfortable than expected. There is also a heated/air-conditioned 4-seasons room off the front bedroom that could accommodate an inflatable mattress if need be. Direct access to the Lake in the Sky is wonderful and so peaceful. If it has been raining or rain is expected, make sure to bring your mud boots, as the path to the dock can get pretty swampy. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be coming back!

The view was spectacular.. Great cabin 10 out of 10.

We have been visiting Graham county on and off for years and if you are looking for peace and quiet and to be close to nature this is perfect! Randy is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable of the area. Always super quick to respond and so nice. The house was great and had everything we needed. My kids loved the creek right out the back door and we were swimming in the lake almost every day. It is just a short walk from the house. Wake up to beautiful mountain birds singing in the morning and the sound of the creek. The hot tub was wonderful and perfect for relaxing. Plenty of outdoor seating and having a full size garage was nice too for keeping fishing tackle and our paddle boards. Showers and bathrooms were very clean and like new. If I had to say anything it would be to bring some extra towels from home but we had four adults and three kids so I already had packed a few anyways. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay for being in nature but with all the comforts of home!

Matthew’s place was very nice and cozy. Definitely one of the cleanest and best stocked cabins I have ever stayed in! We had a few hiccups in our trip (mainly issues caused by weather, nothing anyone could help). However, Matthew stayed in constant communication throughout the trip and kept us up to date with information we needed regarding the weather caused outages and the such and made sure we were taken care of. I can truly tell that he goes above and beyond for his guests. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location and very peaceful. Extremely clean and well stocked. We stayed in the winter, so the lake was low, but we knew that going in. Parking and stairs down to the door can be a little trickey, especially at night. As others have said, dont bring a boat to the property but take it to a marina. There is limited ability to turn around. Would certainly stay again.

CONVENIENT FOR OUR VISIT WITH NEARBY IN LAWS. VERY NATURAL, PRIVATE AND SERENE. COMFORTABLE, CLEAN ,WELL FURNISHED. WE'D DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN IF IN THE AREA. ONE CAVEAT, MOST RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS AND BRING YOUR OWN PROVISIONS.

Beautiful place, access to lake from boat ramp was very convenient- if bringing boat make sure to drop it off at ramp before going to house- if your not familiar with this area may seem like your going to the middle of nowhere down a long gravel road and you’ll swear there is no chance of it leading to a lake- but dont worry- it does, and its well worth it- we caught Salmon from boat dock

This is the perfect getaway spot to unplug and unwind. The views are spectacular, the hikes are great and the lake being so close was perfect. Our 2 year old had a great time on the trails and hammocks up top as well as swimming in the lake. If you need suggestions on what to do the guidebook (or contacting the hosts) will give you all the info you need. The hosts are there to answer any and all questions incredibly quickly as well as lead you in the right direction for things to do. The kitchen is well stocked so if you want to stay on site just pack groceries and you’ll never want to leave. This cabin is nice and private with all the romantic touches. We definitely will be back to keep exploring the area!

This is a beautiful property. Peaceful and quiet. Close to great hiking and Tail of the Dragon. Definitely recommend a stay here. The property was clean and well kept

Absolutely beautiful! Just a warning that this cabin will raise your expectations for every other stay afterwards. Michael thought of everything that you might need during your stay and then exceeds those expectations. The whole home is just perfectly beautiful and perfectly decorated. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked beyond just the essentials, including spices, cooking utensils, teas, coffees, pots/pans, etc. The beds are delightfully comfortable. And the view... the view from the living room and the front porch is just beautiful. You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin. Just do it! I hope to revisit in the future.

This is a nice lake house right on the water. The view of the mountains is fantastic and we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen? The house is comfortable and well stocked. Robbinsville is a nice little mountain town. Tapoco Tavern is a really nice restaurant about seven miles away on a beautiful river setting. It was so good we went there twice during our five day stay. Jodi is very responsive and answered our questions promptly. Overall one of our favorite Airbnbs.
