Our stay at Woodwind Cottage was delightful! The cottage is a haven of solitude, comfort and charm. Every detail was carefully considered; the cottage is even more stunning in person! We appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the gas fireplace, the Bluetooth speaker, high end appliances (we like to cook while traveling), cozy bed, stunning framed photography (all Karen’s own work - what a gift she has!) and the charming window seat. While seemingly secluded, you’re still close to everything making the cottage an ideal homebase for exploring both the rich history of Charlottesville and natural beauty of Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed easy access to historical landmarks like Monticello, Skyline Drive and area wineries, making it the perfect blend of outdoor adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxing wine tasting. Woodwind Cottage is a true gem for anyone seeking a peaceful and enriching getaway. We can't wait to return to Charlottesville and to the Woodwind Cottage!

We booked this Airbnb for our family and pups to stay at during our wedding weekend in Charlottesville. Miranda was super accommodating and responsive. Amazing stay!

Ned was very communicative and helpful with local recommendations and house amenities. Check in and out was easy and flexible. The views and property are unbelievable! The fire pit was well stocked and all the supplies needed to get the fire started were handy. Very close to several winerys and not too far from downtown. The house is a little dated, however, we felt it lended to the whole historical ambiance of the property and it looks like renovations are being made when possible. We also felt right at home and there is plenty of room for everyone. I would definitely go back.

Our family of 2 adults and 5 kids had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving week. Watching the sunrises and sunsets on the lake was so peaceful and our kids loved playing outside! Private and beautiful scenery, especially with the late fall colors. We had everything we needed to cook and everyone slept great. Kids said they wished we had spent less time sightseeing and more time at the house so they could play in the backyard!

We found the cream of the crop of Charlottesville Airbnbs right here! The house is awesome! So spacious with lots of light, beautiful flooring, comfortable furniture and the best beds for a good night’s sleep, it was perfect for our family group of sisters.We loved the modern kitchen which is so well stocked and equipped! The huge shower in the master bedroom was a real hit! All enjoyed the hot water, fluffy towels and luxurious bedding and of course the pristine cleanliness of the entire house. It was a lot of fun to barbecue and enjoy the outdoor ambiance too! Rachel was immediately responsive to my texts and questions. She treated us with true kindness and Southern hospitality! With this great host, great house and superb location in Charlottesville, I truly lucked out and picked a winner that provided the settting for memories for a lifetime!! Thank you, Rachel! My family enjoyed staying here for a fun weekend in Charlottesville. It was a quick, easy drive to Charlottesville and other local attractions. We traveled with our 8 month old baby and our in-laws and everyone felt right at home! The sun room was a perfect spot for family time. The hosts were mindful about having plenty of toiletries and snacks for guests. We definitely recommend staying here!

Had a great time in C'Ville. Loved Erin's location - convenient to everything but in a great neighborhood so you didn't feel like you were "in the city" Nice layout, clean - chickens clucking in the backyard - felt just like home! We'll be back!

Great spot close to Charlottesville’s Main Street! I highly recommend checking out Bodo’s Bagels and Thai Fresh for delicious food, and don’t miss Decades Arcade for some fun and a bit of nostalgia. Perfect location for exploring the area!

we really enjoyed the historic setting, the fantastic location near downtown activities, and wonderful historic neighborhood to walk around. the lodging was very comfortable and quiet. whenever we come back to Charlottesville, this is the place we would choose.

Great location on the downtown mall. Host was accommodating, helpful, & instructions were clear. Beautiful windows and architecturally interesting apartment. Fireplace created ambience & warmth; much appreciated during January's frigid temps. Note that it's a walk up apartment. Secure and comfy accommodations. Hope to return!

We had a great time at Tara & Mark's. It was as good as advertised and we really enjoyed the comfortable and clean space, and the beautiful surroundings outside.

This place was fabulous. It was on a quiet street in a safe, well-lit neighborhood. It was just a 4 minute walk to the Downtown Mall, with many easy to find restaurants, bars, bookstores, coffee shops, and a movie theatre! The space was perfect, with plenty of towels/linens, comfortable beds, a large closet, easy to use wi-fi, powerful ACs, and multiple desks, which I used to do a little school work. It was also quite charming with dozens of books on the shelves, eclectic art/decorations, as well as local, tea, coffee, and bread for you to enjoy. I highly recommend Genevieve’s home and will definitely stay again the next time I’m in C’ville!

The Studio was a perfect weekend getaway stay! Kalin was a very responsive host and checked in to ensure everything was going well. I would absolutely stay here again!
