Cottage vacation rentals in Florencia

This beautiful modern home is situated in a secluded location about 30 minutes from Monteverde Reserve. The host was very flexible with check in and very responsive with questions. The kitchen is equipped with all types of cooking utensils and the host provided breakfast items like eggs, milk, cereal, and coffee, as well as some snacks, fruit, and a bottle of champagne. The place was very luxurious compared to most cabins and lodges located in town where the rooms are basic and A/C is not available. It was nice to return to a comfortable, clean place to take a shower/bath and wind down after a day full of outdoor activities.

Honestly the best AIRBNB I've ever stayed at. It was incredible. The morning view over the pool to the comfortable amenities in the house... everything was perfect. The pictures don't do this home justice. Although it's a little secluded from the big city, I personally enjoyed the privacy of it. It's about 45 mins from this place to La Fortuna. Carlos was very responsive and helpful through the whole process. I'll definitely have this spot pinned for the future.

Amazing place! Great views. We had a problem with our shower and they sent someone to fix it right away. We stayed here to visit the cascadas celetes, it was about an hour from there.

Fantastic view and a really nice property. We didn’t get to see much of the surroundings due to unfortunate weather, but we enjoyed the house a lot. The area is beautiful, even on a rainy day, and the house is very close to the poas volcano, yet far enough away that you are not surrounded by tourists.

Amanda’s place was wonderful! We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our time there. My husband captured some amazing bird photos right from the terrace, and we even spotted three sloths in the trees. It’s a fantastic spot for bird lovers and an overall great place to stay. We also ordered breakfast in the morning—it was absolutely delicious. The only one downsize was that dogs barked in the night a little bit, but we didn’t mind it so much.

I spent two months in this beautiful house, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I could not have asked for more kind and generous hosts who helped me with anything I needed. Grisalda, Marcos, and Antonieta helped me feel right at home, and they felt like family by the time I left. The house is large and well ventilated, and surrounded by trees. It feels like you are in a treehouse. The view of the Gulf of Nicoya was something I enjoyed every day. Definitely note that, unless you mainly want to stay in the house and enjoy the peace and quiet and being in nature, you definitely will want to rent a car. Also, the house is guarded by the most lovely dog I've ever met, Marimba, or Mari for short. Her company was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. If you stay here, give her a scratch behind her ears and a chicharrone from me ❤️

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the volcano. Very private - no one else nearby. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the pool and jacuzzi—it was the perfect place to relax. The location is great too, just a quick and easy 15-minute drive into downtown. Kenneth was an exceptional host—super responsive and thoughtful, even leaving fresh coconuts in the fridge for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Hugo's place was very private and immaculate as described. Everything was pristine all over the house. Hugo was very responsive to our needs and I would advise anyone looking for a place of solitude and beauty, to please stop by.

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en este lugar. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos muchísimo de los días que pasamos aquí. El espacio es cómodo y acogedor, y la piscina fue un gran plus para todos. Además, el billar (pool) fue una excelente adición para la diversión en familia. ¡Sin duda, una experiencia increíble y nos encantaría volver!

Nos encantó nuestra estancia en este Airbnb. El espacio es amplio, tranquilo y seguro, ideal para descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Todo estaba muy bonito y ordenado, lo que hizo nuestra experiencia aún más placentera. Un detalle menor fue que el televisor no funcionaba, pero con tanto por disfrutar al aire libre, realmente no hizo falta. Además, la amabilidad de doña Gloria hizo que nos sintiéramos bienvenidos en todo momento. ¡Definitivamente un lugar para volver!

Muy lindo el lugar la verdad, a mi familia y a mí nos encantó mucho todo, la piscina la disfrutamos y nos gustó que tuviera un área para niños ya que siempre viajamos con niños, los anfitriones muy amables y en general todo fue excelente

I had an exceptional experience staying with Alonzo and his family. Their hospitality was outstanding—they were attentive and responsive to all my needs. When I requested a yoga mat, they promptly provided it, along with everything else I asked for. The accommodation is nestled in a serene and peaceful location, perfect for those seeking privacy and tranquility. However, I recommend having a car if you plan to explore the area. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it.

Este lugar es excepcional si uno desea salir de la ciudad, el clima, la naturaleza, las vistas, la personas que viven cerca, de verdad que la pasamos increíble, la casa es hermosa, quedamos encantados e inspirados con la decoración, tiene todo lo que uno necesita, además está muy limpia y ordenada, también es importante considerar que es muy seguro! La comunicación fue muy amena, fluida y precisa, estamos agradecidos con habernos hospedado en este hermoso lugar! 20/10

Alojamiento tal cual lo descrito, se sentía como alojarte con tu familia en un fin de semana en la casa del campo, alberca de buen tamaño para disfrutar y mucho terreno sin construcciones ideal para apreciar las vistas

Marvin was an amazing host. Very responsive and gave us a great recommendation for stuff to do with the kids. House gave all of us a lot of space for our large group and the kids loved the pool. Even saw a sloth and monkey on property. Would definitely use again if we come back to the area.

What a wonderful stay in CR! The host and his family were communicative and so thoughtful. They welcomed us upon arrival, toured the home to ensure we had what we needed, gave us suggestions as to what to do in the area, invited us to see a sloth in a tree on the property, brought us fresh fruit our first morning and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. We couldn't have asked for more. The home had everything we needed and the pool was a nice treat.

What a great place! Rancho Amalia exceeded our expectations in every way. It was such a peaceful, beautiful place to spend a week in Costa Rica. We loved to be in a property where we could walk on the trails and get some exercise ... or just hang in the hammocks, enjoying the breeze and the beautiful view. The restaurant where we had breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed a very good meal with 20 family members. The hosts were wonderful ... helping us find alternate transportation when two of our cars ended up with flat tires! (Though we ended up not needing it.) They were also flexible as I had to change who and how many were coming throughout the reservation process. Thanks for a great stay! I hope we will be back again!

Todo estuvo perfecto! La ubicación es excelente, ingreso a la casa fue sencillo, las indicaciones súper claras y la privacidad de la casa es una de sus principales cualidades. Súper importante comentar que pueden ingresar cualquier tipo de vehículo. Nosotros duramos aproximadamente 9 min de la casa al supermercado más cercano. La atención y comunicación con Home Vacations estuvo perfecta! Súper atentos a las necesidades. Ideal para familias con niños o bebés porque la casa está totalmente equipada.

I loved this place ! It completely exceeded my expectations and the hosts went above and beyond to be accommodating! Highly recommend. Great for families/friends etc. this place looks much better than the pictures too! We also loved the private pool

Pros: Muy espaciosa, excelente ducha y cama king de la habitación principal. A/A en las 2 habitaciones. Muy cerca de la Catarata La Fortuna. Pava, cafetera y lo necesario para cocinar. Muy linda terraza techada. Lavarropas y secarropas disponible (recuerda llevar tu propio jabón). A considerar: No había agua caliente en la bacha de la cocina. El gallo del vecino puede despertarte si tienes sueño liviano :P Vivimos una situación de mala suerte: entró por una hendija de la puerta estando cerrada una serpiente caracolera (perseguía a un saltamontes). Sabemos que no es culpa del alojamiento en sí, que aunque pueda ser esperable por estar en entorno de selva, no quita que nos hayamos pegado un buen susto. Destacamos el rápido accionar del host, quien vino con alguien para sacarla de adentro de la casa. Para el momento de esta evaluación seguramente el host ya agregó una barrera para la puerta como nos mencionó que iba a hacer. Igualmente volveríamos a alojarnos sin dudarlo!! :)

There is so much to say about Emanuel’s place! First of all it was in a gorgeous area. Please know 4x4 is highly recommended! The house had everything we needed. Emanuel’s mom was there to greet us and to show us the property and show some amazing hospitality! If you want the real experience stay here! We are already in the process of planning our next stay with Emanuel!
