Monthly Rentals in Finstown

Of 60 or so places we have stayed at Airbnb, this has been the best Airbnb experience we’ve had! Given that this is a special trip (our honeymoon, which we had not mentioned before showing up) we feel very fortunate indeed! Stewart was an absolutely phenomenal host. So thoughtful and kind. But not imposing or ‘ever present’; just enough for a nice chat when we bump into one another out in the garden, and for some wonderful home-baked treats :) Stewart’s advice about getting last-minute tickets to Maeshowe (just a few minutes down the lane) was spot on and was the only reason we were able to visit. The place is really relaxed and quiet, a place to really unwind. It is a perfect base for exploring these wonderful islands, centrally located with all that’s needed just a 10 minute drive or a short bike ride away. We will certainly be back for an anniversary, as this place holds a special place in our hearts.

Lyndsey's house is impeccable and extremely well-equipped. The outside is beautiful. I loved my stay in the Orkney Islands and Lyndsey's house was a big part of it! The fireplace is a very pleasant plus. The location is very convenient for traveling around the different islands. Lyndsey was very considerate throughout the stay. I will definitely come back if I travel to the Orkney Islands again!

we really enjoyed our stay. the house was very clean and comfortable. It's not far from the main town but is out in the country and very peaceful. The house is very central so everything is easily accessible. Plenty of great walks if that's what you want, but, if like us you just want peace and quiet, it's great for that too. The house is warm and cosy and should you want to cook, there is everything you might need.

Really nice place to stay and easy communication. Would stay there again.
