Monthly Rentals in Finnish Lakeland

The cottage is isolated from the civilization without electricity nor running water but the facility is definitely more than enough to make yourself comfortable and immerse yourself fully in the Finnish nature. The view from the cottage is absolutely stunning and in the night only you hear is water waves and animal sounds. We were here beginning of October and could enjoy sunlights at the port. We didn’t go into the lake (apparently it was 7 degrees) but hopefully we can come back to enjoy the swimming in the lake in summer! The cottage itself was built by the owner Mari-Anne and it was unbelievably well designed! We were so happy to be able to stay at her cottage. Mari-Anne was very responsive and gave us all the help needed including the explanation of fire and gas system. She is such a lovely person to interact with.

The friendly Eila greeted us and told us what was needed in the listing, more information was found in the folder. A compact and tidy cottage with a good night's sleep for a couple of hours of sauna and cold swimming!

We had a quiet and relaxing time at the house. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck with our travel date, as it thawed heavily shortly before we arrived and then froze again. The result was a rather demanding journey over heavily icy forest roads. With four-wheel drive, no problem and on site you could do well with spikes. But you think twice about whether you have to go shopping by car or not. After it had snowed again, that was no longer an issue, mind you with four-wheel drive! The house is quietly located directly on the lake. If you are looking for a break from everyday life and relaxation, I can only recommend winter as a travel time. We used the cold days for the sauna and took a few trips to the beautiful frozen lake landscape. Sanna was always easily accessible and provided us with information about the location and everything around it 👍 In terms of amenities, we didn't miss anything and we could imagine coming back 👋👋👋

A perfect small mökki for a summer getaway! With a private access to the lake with sand, great sauna, barbecue spot and a beautiful forest with loads of blueberries and wind strawberries around. It's maybe better for someone with a car, because the closest grocery store is 6km away, and to get drinking water you have to boat 2 km, which was not a problem for us, but the boat and bikes at the property were not in the best state, but still usable. The house has everything you need, but is very small -- I feel like even though there are technically 3 sleeping places, 3 adults will use up all the oxygen at night ) but for 2 adults or 2+1 kid it's perfect. We felt very rested afterwards! There's also a very nice hiking trail nearby.
