Beautiful room in this beautiful riad! Very clean place, exactly as shown in the photos, very pleasant to live in, we felt at home as if in a small cocoon in the middle of the medina Amal is the perfect host, always available, responsive to the minute (great breakfast as a bonus every morning!) If we were to come back to Fez we would definitely go to Amal's. I recommend it 100%.

This place is absolutely lovely. I stayed in the terrace room, which looks out on to the medina. Usually rooms in the medina face on to a central courtyard, so having this view out from the rooms is gorgeous. The terrace was a lovely place to sit for breakfast. The house is right near Moulay Idris, deep in the heart of the medina, but easy to find as it’s not far off two of the main walkways. Said was wonderful, kind and helpful, and Sonhild was very friendly and enthusiastic about her very special accommodation. Enjoy!

For Medina experience, it is a great place to stay. The accommodation is by the oldest university in the world, The University of al-Qarawiyyin. (UNESCO and the Guinness World Records, have cited al-Qarawiyyin as the oldest university or oldest continually operating higher learning institution in the world.) The place is also surrounded by Moorish / Andalusian and Marinid / Berber architectural gems such as Bou Inania Madrasa and Al-Attarine Madrasa. On the flip side, although Fes Medina is very safe, it may be a good idea especially for solo travelers to be back to the place by the last prayer's call of the day or a little later (like 11 pm in the summer). Finally, Sonhild and Said are great people. They will make you feel home.

This amazing old house, hidden in the médina of Fès was exactly as described. We loved the heaters (yes, winter can be cold) and felt very well looked after by the host with advice. If you get the chance to eat at their sister Riad, do it - food was absolutely delicious, I recommend the Beef and Prune tagine . Thank you to Hamza and his team to make us feel welcome and very safe.

The Riad is very well furnished, well maintained. Communication with Loli and Franck was smooth. They are very responsive. The people who took care of the cleaning and breakfast 'included in the rental price' were very helpful. Laundry is charged at 60 DH per unit. Paid parking is less than a 5-minute walk from the Riad. Fez is a city rich in history. There are also so many things to visit around the city (Volubilis, Moulay Yacoub, Ifrane 'little Moroccan Switzerland'). During the day the medina is full of activities, but in the evening it is much less safe. There are many restaurants in the medina with quite reasonable prices for international tourists. If you go to the new town you have very clean restaurants and twice as cheap. The Riad is well located for visiting the medina on foot. Excellent value for money!

Our stay was just great. We felt right at home. Said is a very warm, friendly, accommodating, warm and always cheerful host. He picked us up at the parking lot and brought us to the property, prepared us a great breakfast every morning and was there for us with help and advice. Sonhild was not personally present, but she was also available at all times and wrote very warm messages, was proactive and gave us many recommendations. Everything is clean, tidy and very comfortably furnished. The view from the roof terrace is great and the location right in the middle. We highly recommend this home!

We had a great time in Assya's beautiful riad. This place is great for families; located in the center of the Medina and at the same time enjoying amazing calm. Assya is a very beautiful person, welcoming and warm who took care of our well-being during the stay. The neighbor, Fatima, is a lady of incredible kindness; she cooks very generous Moroccan breakfasts and prepares excellent traditional dishes on request. We also greatly enjoyed the excursions to Volubilis, Meknes, Moulay Idriss Zerhoun and Chefchaouen with Abdou, the guide/driver of a local agency recommended by Assya. We highly recommend this property and will not fail to return when we most likely return to this beautiful region of Morocco.

Wonderful space in the middle of the old medina. Akram was warm and welcoming and helped us with local recommendations. We had dinner at the riad one night, which was one of the best meals we had in Morocco, highly recommend; breakfast was provided each morning and was also delicious. The space was large and clean, we loved all of the traditional features of the house and the views from the rooftop terrace were lovely. Would love to stay there again, highly recommended!

Beautiful riad in the heart of the medina. Eric is a friendly host who welcomed us late at night and took the time to show us around. Our arrival was perfectly organized with a taxi at the airport.
