At the Caminho de Sao Joao, about 600 m high above the coast of the fishing village Paul do Mar, lies our rustic country house Ovelha do Sol ("Sun Sheep"). Located in the north-western part of the island ,its an amazing location protected by conservation laws that have kept the area free of over development. With epic mountain and sea-views (the photos don't do it justice) the tents are located 450m above the coastline. If a place to relax and unwind is what you after then this would be the place to come to. There are also some amazing levada walks to explore in the area.There are three tents on the property so you might neighbours.

Villa 1 is the main house on the property, the largest in size. 3 bedrooms, 1 of which is a suite, the other two share 1 bathroom which also serves as a guest bathroom. A large hallway separates the entrance to the house, one side for the bedrooms and bathroom and the other side for the living room, dining room and large kitchen. The entire house faces the Ocean and the Cliff with the sun surrounding it all day, from all the windows and balconies of the house.
