We loved staying at The Rookery! Holli was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The cottage was very clean when we arrived, matching the pictures in the listing with all of the expected amenities. It’s an easy walk to the beach, and the pool was very nice as well! The hot tub was unfortunately closed for construction during our stay. My only note was the 8 guest max on the listing. There were 5 of us in the cottage and even though it is capable of sleeping 8, I would say it more comfortably sleeps 6 people. One of the bathrooms is only accessible from the primary bedroom, so over 6 people could feel a little cramped with 4+ people sharing one bathroom. The kitchen table also only seats 4. But if you’re flexible with your living arrangements you can definitely make it work! I would absolutely recommend this for your Gulf Shores vacation and would love to return myself!

This was a quiet, peaceful stay super close to the beach! Accommodated a family of 5 easily. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

An absolutely outstanding location! The cottage is wonderfully secluded, providing a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Inside, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. I must note, the king-size bed in the main bedroom was incredibly comfortable and you need to experience the master bathroom shower! The hot tub was perfect! Spotless and well taken care of. You can unwind in the hot tub while enjoying the sounds birds and nature. Amber exemplifies the perfect host! She was very responsive and courteous, checking in via the AirBNB chat to make sure we had everything we needed. Our entire stay was flawless! We were sad to leave and return home, but we can't wait to book again! Thanks for having us!

Located by the magnolia River in the headwaters. We stayed in late March, which is peak azalea season. The neighborhood in bloom may be the most beautiful location I have ever stayed in. The house is great. It feels comfortable. It is private.

My two teens and I LOVED staying at the Summerhouse and didn't want to leave. The interior is so beautiful, they have decorated with a collection of unique baskets throughout the home and with the light gray paint scheme and real beach paintings it really is so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. love the kitchen view over the marsh. The outdoor hose is convenient to rinse off after the beach. The home had everything I wanted including a blender. Everything was incredibly clean and spotless. We stayed in Rookery 3 (this is Rookery 1) another year and preferred this, we like the pool better and this particular house is at the back of the property so you cannot hear 180 traffic at all, it is very quiet. I love staying in quiet Fort Morgan out of the Orange Beach bustle. The walk to the beach is easy, we walked down to beach 4th fireworks. The hosts were super responsive with any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much!

Extremely nice stay. Worth every penny! Family very much enjoyed this setting. Had everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Quiet, clean, comfortable. We will be back! Thank you!!! BTW- distance to beach was absolutely acceptable and easy to walk.

The place suited us perfect, myself, my wife and Sam ( our dog). It was quiet and peaceful. Just a couple minutes walk to the bay and a few minutes to drive to great beaches. Great restaurants that were suggested were close by. We will be back. Thank you!

David was an excellent host. This stay came with plenty of amenities and household items to get us started during our trip! The location is great, with only a crosswalk separating the property from the beach access.

We will DEFINITELY book David's Cottage at Romeo Beach again. We stopped in on an impromptu weekend in Gulf Shores, booked at 8pm on a Friday and immediately received check in instructions. The place was spotless and cozy. Kid-friendly and pet-friendly (even though we didn't have our pup with us this time). David has everything you need for a perfect beach day - chairs, umbrella, beach cart, boogie boards, etc. There's also a cute little pool for taking a nice dip. David had puzzles and games as well as a whole list of ideas and restaurants for every appetite. Perfectly located across from the beach and around all the local hotspots. Thanks for a great stay!!!

1st time View- It has a magical view of the Bay. You can enjoy it from the living room, kitchen and the back deck. House- Kitchen is stunning and I just wanted to wrap it up and bring it home with me 😂. Of course that is impossible. Kitchen was full of all that you need for a perfect trip. There is a full size frig which we ate at "home" 90% of the time. Both of the beds were comfortable and our 26 year old son said he needed to buy a new mattress when we gets home because of how he slept. Showers - our shower had 2 amazing shower heads with different knobs so if you wanted to share which is big enough you can have your own temperatures. Other shower our son said it was great. House has plenty of room. 3 tvs in the house. Fire pit and the grill we used and was happy we had it. Perfect to sit there drinking some wine watching Hubby work. 😂 Full size washer and dryer with a sink inside. Cindy was amazing and easy to talk to and very helpful

This was a lovely place to stay. Everything in the unit was as described. The location was wonderful and the host was extremely responsive with any questions we had.

We had a great stay in Dauphin Island! Loved how centrally located Karin's place was to everything on the island. We brought our bikes and had easy access to both east and west ends of the island and were able to walk to several restaurants right from the house as well as the beach! The house is located on a very quiet street, was clean and spacious and provided everything we needed to work (great internet) and cook/enjoy the island for the week!

We had a great time at Martha's place and enjoyed our stay. We rented a golf cart and had a great time driving around and using it to go to the beach. Beach chairs and toys were a big hit for us and used daily. It's off the beaten path, so very relaxing and quiet. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The only drawback was the biting gnats, but that is to be expected in that area!

Such a great place, we cooked dinner and picnicked in the back yard. Love the historical look and upgraded amenities. I loved our hosts who told us where to get groceries and take the kids. The neighborhood is quiet, clean and safe. It made our 1/2 way stop to Disney a special event in itself. Home is well stocked to make you feel thought about. Different kinds of coffee , variety of pillow choices, pet toys and treats, snacks and soda pop! All around keeper for sure!

I would give Hideaway Hammock more stars if I could. Donna's place was PERFECT! the neighborhood is quiet and the property itself feels pretty secluded even from the neighborhood around it. the back yard is picturesque. The screened in back porch over looking the creek was truly my favorite place in the whole house. I was truly able to relax and unwind here in the mornings and between activities. They provided kayaks and paddles to use in the creek. On the inside of the house, it was clean, well stocked with everything we needed, homey without being cluttered, and had some great extras (very comfy reclining/vibrating chairs, an abundance of towels, linens, cookware and dishes). I've already looked at future dates for this property for our family, and I cannot recommend you choose this for your stay enough. You won't regret it.

The home was very clean and tidy. The area was quiet and very family friendly. It was far enough away from the hustle & bustle that it made for a great vacation. I highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a low key get away!

Katy was super friendly and responsive. I booked last minute and was in immediately. The place is located right across from the beach, close to multiple food spots, very well kept and spacious. It’a also baby friendly, which was a plus for us! I would definitely stay here again!

A relaxing stay for our young family with four kids and two grandparents. The house was exactly as advertised, and it was a great value for the money spent. The kitchen was supremely supplied, beyond our expectations. We loved having the beach be walkable, but what really made our stay was to have a golf cart rental to get there in under 5 minutes. Our hosts had a sun shelter, beach chairs, and sand toys. Inside the house were a variety of games and movies to keep us entertained when relaxing. The only thing I didn't like was the midges around the house (worst in mornings and evenings). I got dozens of bites, but others in my group weren't as affected. Bug spray was effective. I highly recommend this Airbnb, especially for young families.

We visited during the week of New Year's knowing weather could be a 'wildcard' when we booked. So glad we did - we got lucky with seasonably warm weather. We enjoyed views of the bay from morning coffee to sunset cocktails, truly beautiful and peaceful. Our boys loved checking the crab trap multiple times a day and even landed a few. We would definitely visit again!

Our stay was wonderful! We appreciated the beach toys and the tennis and pickleball equipment. With the pool and tennis court right behind the condo and the beach literally a few minutes drive away, there were easy options to keep busy. The kids quickly learned to listen for the music every afternoon from the ice cream truck. They also liked to check to see if the little gators were sunning themselves by the ponds. Ft. Morgan was just down the road so we were able to fit in a little history too. We did some cooking and baking, taking advantage of the fact that the condo's kitchen was well-equipped. The neighborhood is quiet and it's not a far drive to get into town for mini golf and restaurants and souvenir shopping and the zoo which is a nice size for younger kiddos. A return trip is in our future plans!

What can I say? I didn't want to leave...I want to live there. One of the most serene Airbnb's in which I've stayed, both domestically and internationally. Other than family trips, the majority of my Airbnb stays resolve to finding a place to stay for a weekend while coaching club soccer. While the Bee Hive was a little further from the fields than I generally want to be...when we return to Foley in the Fall, I'll seek to book here first. Why? The cleanliness of the place. Not only was it spotless, but comfortable. The beds were excellent. The kitchen actually had usable pots and pans, which precluded us from having to run to a store to purchase. The back deck...amazing. The ponds - beautiful. In our family - soccer travel is generally limited to my son and me; I'll have to plan a trip with my wife and daughter...maybe to OWA or the outlet mall so they can experience the serenity of this place. One of those special Airbnbs...maybe not the fanciest...but definitely special.
