Nice spacious house with a comfortable garden

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.
The exterior of a classic Icelandic house is shown, featuring a light-colored façade and a welcoming upper floor. Two wooden garage doors are visible, and a black vehicle is parked in front. A small garden area with greenery adds to the serene environment.

Shoe House

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Everything was nearby and the town was really cute. Definetly Wörth a visit when staying in the north of iceland.
A traditional farmhouse is partially covered in snow, presenting a stark contrast against the white landscape. Rolling hills and a distant mountain create a serene backdrop, while a rustic barn is visible to the left. The sky is overcast, displaying soft blue and gray hues.

Quaint farmhouse in pristine nature

Our stay in Öxnadalur was one of the most impressive we’ve ever had. The house was charming and we felt immediately at home. The surrounding nature and view on the mountains is breathtaking! We spent hours sipping coffee at the fire place, while the wind and snow were howling outside or watching beautiful northern lights right in front of the door. Sif and Oli were always very helpful when we were asking for any help or recommendations. It is definitely worth a visit and a real adventure in winter times.

A charming red house with a green roof is set against a clear blue sky. The entrance features a welcoming front door, flanked by a stone pathway and a retaining wall made of large rocks. Steps lead up to the porch area, surrounded by wooden fencing.

We had a great stay in Arngunnur's place. The communication was fluid and the area was nice to explore. Would come again!

A serene landscape overlooking a tranquil fjord reflects the surrounding mountains. The lush green foreground transitions into the calm water, with the town in the distance. Clouds hover gently above, enhancing the peaceful ambiance of the natural setting.
