Our cottage was built in 2019 and was ready for furnishing in October 2019. The whole house, interior and houseware is generally of high quality. The living room has a cosy sofa and a 65” tv screen. All beds are high quality with down comforters for every guest. There are two bathrooms, where one of the bathrooms also serves as a laundry room, and an indoor hottub with view over Akureyri. the outside storage room you have space for your outdoor equipment. Hallreyakot cottage near Akureyri.

This is an old farmhouse that was renovated in 2020. Very clean and spacious. Warm and cozy house with wood floors. The house and the area is very very quiet. People will sleep extremely well here. Water is from own well up the mountain and is very good. Hot water is heated with big electric water heater tank so this is clean non smelly, non sulphuric warm water for showers. Area is quiet and very private. We do not have farm animals only a couple of curious cats.

Charming rural cabin for couples, outdoor shower

Registered number:- HG-00020047. The cabin is 15 m2 and is a hidden nugget in our garden overlooking the fjord opposite Akureyri. The cabin was completed in April 2020. There is a kitchenette with a kettle, microwave and fridge. The WC is separate inside with a hand basin. The cabin is private and there is a half wrap around deck to enjoy the evening views and midnight skies. There is an outside shower with hot water for a natural experience.

Great communication leading up to our arrival. We were greeted upon arrival and the host showed us the place and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The place is small but so cozy and comfortable. It was very clean and tidy and in a great location. What a view, including the northern lights we saw at about midnight. We thank you for a spectacular first night in Iceland!

Danìel, Stefàn and Yogi were amazing hosts, they kept in contact with us to make sure we find the place with no issues. They also informed us of the local New Year's celebration which was great. One of the best guesthouses of our trip. Warm welcome with visit of the house by the hosts. The guesthouse is large and pleasant with carefully decorated themed rooms. The beds are very large and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and overlooks a terrace with hot tub. There are two fridges for guests with storage boxes depending on the bedrooms. It feels like home in this guesthouse 🙂

No doubt my favourite stay during my trip and would definitely return if I am visiting Iceland again. Akureyri is such a nice town and this homes are located just a short distance from it, not too far to be inconvenient getting into town, and not too near to be nice and dark at night. Love everything about the home itself too, the loft, the views.

The surroundings of this place are outstanding. I absolutely loved this small town! In addition, the host was very accommodating and made both myself and my partner feel right at home. Knowing that the nearest restaurant was 30 minutes away, she offered to cook breakfast to make our stay that much more comfortable. Very gracious and friendly hosts with a lovely dog!
