Great location and place to stay. Can walk to the beach and it’s perfect to come back to relax in. Extras like milk in the fridge on arrival and all required kitchen and cleaning things provided as well as beach towels. Super clean and warm, with really comfy beds.

Boutique Cosy Cottage in Lyme Regis Old Town

We had a great time staying at Seahorse Cottage. It's in a fantastic location - on a pretty pedestrian lane, but within a couple of minutes stroll from the best shopping street. The house itself is stylishly decorated and impeccably clean. The dining area has French windows out onto a lovely little courtyard garden with views over the town. The house is cosy with the central heating on, but there's also a working woodburner if you want to get extra toasty on cold evenings (you can buy wood and kindling from Arthur Fordham's shop on the seafront). Lyme Regis itself is lots of fun. Lyme Regis Museum is fascinating. We also enjoyed a nature walk out in the Undercliff (you can do a circular walk to Pinhay Bay - bring walking boots) and on the way back, we had a round of bowls at the bowling green next to Monmouth Beach. (A very helpful club member gave us some tips.) We also ate well at Poco Pizza and Swim - both on the seafront. A lovely place to spend the long Easter weekend!

Myself and my family stayed here for five days during the Easter holidays. The first thing that struck us when we arrived was the fantastic view from the living room over the bay. It was beautiful and very peaceful. The beds are very comfy and the rooms were a good size. The house is in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the Cobb and we were very grateful for the 2 parking spaces that come with the property as parking in Lyme Regis can be very expensive. We ate out most nights and would recommend booking places in advance during school holidays as a few of the most popular places get booked up. We loved Swim Restaurant and Bar and loved the pizza from Poco down on the front. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return sometime.

We were a group of 12, and every one of us agreed this is the best holiday house we've ever stayed in. We loved the location, right by the beach and a short walk into town, but at the end of a cul-de-sac, so quiet and safe. We loved all the many books and musical instruments in the house - we felt very at home! We loved the beautiful sea views from 3 bedrooms, and the comfy beds, and the well-equipped kitchen. Our children loved the wide range of toys and the games console. The host made us feel very welcome. We felt it was very good value for money, and we would really like to come back and stay here again.

Such a beautiful place to stay! We loved our time in Beer and Lion Cottage was such a great space! Thank you for the early check in and for all the treats/milk etc. it really was a wonderful few days that we had and also loved walking the Jurassic Coast - even the teenage boys enjoyed it and they are a tricky audience!! 🤣

The cottage was lovely, very clean, well equipped, no shortage of anything at all. Very convenient location, just on a busy road which obviously can’t be helped. Keith never kept me waiting for a reply to anything & is very kind & helpful. Definitely recommend.

Another great stay here! This time, for a longer period of time, additional cleaning and replenishment was offered throughout. A very proactive and helpful host who obviously takes pride in their property and guests. Would highly recommend to others and consider using again in the future.

fantastic property with an amazing view which gets better with the balcony where you can walk out and take in the wonderful views of the bay. everything you could possibly need is provided in this exceptionally clean property, with the added welcoming touches of fresh flowers sweets and a bottle of fizz were the icing on the cake . Steve is a fantastic and friendly host who responded quickly when we needed a boost in heating on a chilly evening if you are looking for a cozy and comfortable get away with a magnificent sea view look no further just , we counting down the days until our next stay already in May . thank you Steve for an amazing holiday home 10/10

I cannot begin to describe how lovely our stay was. Tristan is the most amazing host we have ever had at an AirBnb. He was responsive to questions, helpful, caring, and just so sweet. He even helped us back our giant rental van into the garage when we arrived. We had a perfect welcome basket upon our arrival and staples left for us in the fridge, so we had everything we needed for a delicious breakfast the next day. The house itself is even nicer than pictures show. It’s beautiful, modern, and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and having three full bathrooms and an additional half bathroom was amazing, especially for a party of 6 people. The location was perfect, the ocean views were gorgeous, and the home was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. Any time we visit Lyme Regis in the future, we will always stay here!

Caroline was an excellent host; she was always very communicative and we appreciated a personal visit from her when we arrived. She had also given us some homemade goodies - the granola was particularly good! We were staying during a cold snap so we discovered that the cottage was indeed very warm, with good central heating and a cosy woodburner. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped with an eye to sustainability and other items in the cottage, such as bed linens, were high quality. It was unfortunate that the private beach was inaccessible as this had initially drawn us to Rousdon. The coastal path, challenging in places due to mud and rain, offered an opportunity for an invigorating and interesting walk to Lyme. Make sure you book a taxi in advance for the return to Rousdon as buses are not always available. River Cottage was also a short drive away in a lovely location and of course provided great lunches.

A spacious living area is designed with soft neutral tones and natural light streaming through bay windows. Comfortable sofas are arranged around a low coffee table, while a sleek fireplace adds architectural interest. Green plants provide a refreshing touch, enhancing the serene atmosphere.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The host went above and beyond, communicating quickly and making everything effortless. The house is stunning—beautifully decorated, incredibly homely, and so spacious. With 15 of us, including children, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. The huge dining table was perfect for group meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed—loads of crockery, cutlery, and top-quality appliances. The beds were super comfortable, the showers worked perfectly, and every detail was well thought out. The location was spot-on, and nothing was scrimped on. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay—highly recommend!

We had a great time for a family meet up at this property. There was plenty of space so didn’t feel on top of each other. The separate lounges were perfect for those wanting quiet time and to give the kids their own space to hang out. The location is perfect with beautiful views from the property with a gate direct on to the path down to the beach. The property was close enough to amenities and the town, yet had the feeling of being really remote.

Lovely house with the added bonus of a parking space. The house was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. It was very well stocked with everything you could want and it's a very easy short walk to the beach. I absolutely would recommend this.

The house is a decent size, and well-equipped, but it's certainly its prime location (overlooking the sea, and just a few steps away from the South West Coast Path) that makes it so special. Will gladly be back for some more family hiking if in Dorset!

Good shower and comfy beds (although my 5’6 son said the single bed was a bit short and narrow for him - the only issue as everything else was perfect). The holiday park is quiet and well maintained, we enjoyed the heated pool and dog walking area around the fishing lake. The pygmy goats are so cute!

We had a great weekend in this villa with a private pool. I have nothing but positive things to say about the host( Jessica ) and the house. The house is very spacious with comfortable furniture, and fully equipped bathrooms. In addition, the pool/ ping pong table added so much value to our time spent there. The heating was easy to use and made the house comfortably warm and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The place is so close to the beach as well. Jessica has been an amazing host, always responsive and ever so kind.

Wow! We had such a lovely family stay at Sea Breeze. Donna and Steve were fab hosts! Firstly the communication from Donna was fantastic and she answered all my queries in advance. The place is more like a modern apartment than a caravan and had all the added items such as the dishwasher, washer/drier etc. Plus loads of lovely extras that you just done normally expect such as fans, beach towels, kitchen/cleaning products etc. You can really see how Donna and Steve have really tried to think of everything. The caravan is located in a lovely part of the site with short walks to the main complex or the beach. Passes can be purchased in advance for the swimming, activities and entertainment and Donna was helpful in getting these sorted for us. Thank you Donna and Steve, we will be back!

What a lovely little get away we had. Great location, great host who was friendly and got back to us straight away. We were literally a 4 minute drive from Charmouth beach. When we arrived we noticed there were a lot of nice personal touches that made it feel very homely. It was clean, quiet and overall a great place to stay in a beautiful part of the country. The place and area was lovely with a shop less than a minute walk from the door and walkable beach access. The host was super friendly and gave us a great recommendation that came in super handy. Couldn't recommend the host more 👍

We had a brilliant stay at the townhouse! The most perfect location with everything on your doorstep. The house worked so well for our group size, each bedroom was beautiful and felt like being in a hotel but with the added bonus of lovely communal areas- big kitchen/diner and comfy lounge. Very generous with the amount of coffee/tea and biscuits provided and even a bottle of milk in the fridge. The kingswood hotel was very helpful in explaining the parking and being on hand if we needed anything. Sidmouth itself is a wonderful place for a holiday and so much to do locally. We will be back!

We had a fabulous stay for Christmas with our family! The house is very stylish and spacious, and was perfect for us to celebrate together. We were delighted that our host Lisa had decorated the house for us and even put a tree in the kitchen. Lisa and Matt were really responsive when we had an issue with the boiler - sorted within the hour. The bedrooms were super comfortable with gorgeous bed linen, and plenty of bathrooms for all the family. Great location, close to the town and beach and easy street parking. Would definitely recommend.
