By arrangement, dogs are allowed if they are compatible with all animals and do not hunt. (To protect our animals). You are welcome to use our construction trailer as a hiking riding station/riding vacation and can bring your ponies/horses. A separate meadow/paddock incl. Shelter/riding arena/great riding area is available.

Welcome to Klein Nienoord, staying in a beautiful farmhouse from 1905 close to Groningen. The house has its own entrance and garden and is fully equipped. The luxurious sauna is a nice place to relax and if you want something more active you can use the gym. Within walking distance is the entrance to the Nienoord estate where you can take a beautiful walk. We have bicycles for rent to explore the area. Good to know: we do not provide breakfast. You do have your own kitchen with an oven.

We generate most of our electricity through our photovoltaic system and the geothermal collectors in our deer meadow for our wild neighbors, who will certainly visit you. At low tide, it is possible to hikes like on the North Sea. Bremen, Bremerhaven and Oldenburg can be reached in about 40 minutes by car. In the island there is a beach bath with gastronomy from March to October. Shopping facilities at 6-8 km away.
