The view from this house is priceless. We could have spent hours starring at the view. If we walk a short distance downhill, we can see the Gregory Lake. There are grocery shop at the beginning of the road. Nonetheless, this place was very peaceful as well as beautiful. We had a great stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Absoutely loved the house, the location was perfect. 2 minute walk to Lake Gregory with great activities to do. Chandrakumar the housekeeper was super helpful and even had dinner prepared after our long journey on check in day. Would highly recommend.

This villa is perfect for a group that wants to hang out together and eat local food cooked by the wonderful Chef Jacob. The housekeeper Roman will also help you sort out laundry via a pick up and drop off service and were friendly and lovely people. Happy to stay in a place that supports small local businesses rather than big hotels

Our stay at Croft Cottage was nothing short of amazing! The location is ideal—private, peaceful, and offering breathtaking views, yet still providing easy access to many must-visit sites. We loved being able to walk to the nearby Kovil and enjoyed a scenic drive to Horton Plains, where we were lucky enough to spot leopards. A stop at Jagro for fresh strawberries made the journey even sweeter! The house itself is spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with modern amenities, making it perfect for families. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a fun board game night with loved ones, this place has it all. The staff were outstanding—polite, attentive, and always ensuring our comfort. Additionally, the host was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend Croft Cottage for anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable getaway in Little England. We can definitely see ourselves coming back to Croft Cottage again in the near future!

Home away from home ! A family home built to showcase Sri Lankan ancient architecture provided with all the luxury you are looking for a very comfortable stay ! All the rooms and other areas are very spacious. Cleanliness is maintained to the highest standards. Communication with the host is very easy. Delicious food prepared by the caretakekers (two lovely mothers) was so nice. Our group will remember the motherly care offered by the caretakers with all the fond memories of Badulla. The place is located such a way that the nature's beauty is at your fingertip experiencing the cold breez from the hill area perfect for a short private get away with a loved one for a very special romantic getaway and the host was very pro active in suggesting the right timing for every bit of the trip as the transportation and meals needs to be well adjusted so you don't sleep empty stomach. The place is beautiful place for a couple looking for a romantic private getaway.

Maneesha is a very great host and very responsive and helpful. I asked her to decorate a room for my sister and brother in law as it was their anniversary and she did a very great job. The villa was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The view was very nice from the balcony. I would highly recommend this stay to everyone and I guarantee you will never regret.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

Wir haben drei Nächte (zum Neujahrswechsel) in dieser schönen Villa in Badulla verbracht. Wir wurden mit dem Jeep bis zur Unterkunft gebracht und dort sehr herzlich vom Team empfangen. Im Haupthaus befindet sich unten der Wohn- und Essbereich, wo auch das Essen (was wirklich immer lecker war) zubereitet und serviert wird. Oben waren dann unsere beiden Schlafräume, wobei eines der Zimmer sogar zwei Schlafräume hatte. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Alle waren wirklich sehr herzlich. Sie haben uns wie Familienmitglieder an ihren Spielen und Ritualen zur Neujahrsfeier aufgenommen und sogar unseren Kindern Geschenke überreicht. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Zu empfehlen ist auch die kleine geführte Wanderung zum Wasserfall, bei der man die Naturverbundenheit spürt. Ein perfekter Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und Natur zu genießen. Liebe Grüße und vielen Dank an das Team, dass diesen Ort zu etwas ganz besonderen macht!

Outstanding place, surreal views and service to match! The pictures don't do it justice but trust me, you won't be disappointed! Perfect angle for sunset over the infinity pool or even dining in room. Be careful on the road in, very rocky. Loved our stay here and already planning our next trip back! Gamini deserves a gold medal, couldn't ask for a better host!

Nous avons passé un très bon moment … c’est un endroit unique avec une vue à couper le souffle. Nous avons déguster un merveilleux dîner que la famille nous a concocté ainsi qu’un très bon petit déjeuner où les fruits colorés et sucrés étaient savoureux … bref une belle expérience à renouveler un jour ;-)

The villa was beautiful! Waking up to the beautiful views and waterfall in the distance was a dream. The host and everyone was extremely helpful and kind as well. Also they had very cute dogs. :) it was a great spot for relaxing and not too far from town, only a 700 ruppee ride away. And there was plenty of space for our group of 10, everyone had their own bed. The downsides were that the wifi didn’t really work, and it was a bit hard to get to the place — you have to walk down a narrow ledge and up steep stairs, so it’s not very accessible if you maybe have a disability. But the staff was great and guided us and helped with bags. So we didn’t have an issue really.

Great place ... newly done , neat and very clean . Gracious and helpful hosts . Amazing view from the house ... easy access to restaurants and the lake . Most importantly ... best place to explore home cooked Srilankan cuisine . Thank you for a good time !

Vi ankom med toget til byen, her blev vi hentet af Wilson (arbejdsmanden) og deres driver. Da vi kom til huset havde Mary (kokken) tilberedt fantastisk mad. Under hele opholdet følte vi os meget hjemme, her nød vi Marys mad og deres anbefalinger.

Very nice view on the lake and a quite location. The space would normally be big enough for a whole family, but it was great to have a living room. The hosts are very friendly.

Thanks to our host we cannot recommend this place enough. The room is in a small hotel completely in peace while just a short walk from the bustling center of Ella. The room was spacious for our family of five and the patio gave a relaxing view on the surroundings and many fruit trees. Not only is Sandeep a perfect host, he also took us for a day trip and drove us to our next destination. Thank you again for everything!
