Shawnigan Lake Home on the Water

We had a wonderful time at Shawnigan Lake, staying in Todd's beautiful cottage! It was perfectly situated right on the lake, with a fantastic dock space perfect for swimming and other activities. We were close to the train trestle, a lovely walking/running trail, a restaurant with a picturesque lake view, and a corner store for quick purchases. Grocery stores were about 15-20 minute drive away. All in all it was an incredible place to vacation for an active family! Thank you so much Todd!

Lakefront in Victoria, safe and calm.

Richard was a great host! The place was amazing. I highly recommend riding the raft and enjoying marshmallows in the fireplace! I'm genuinely grateful to Richard for having flexing check-in and checkout times since it allowed me to plan my trip way easier

We had a weekend on the lake at Scott’s! The place was cozy during the snowy weekend. Beautiful lakefront spot with incredible outdoor area that you can enjoy year round. The hot tub was great to relax in and look over the lake. Would absolutely come back here again!

We've been using Airbnb places for 11 years and Em and Tyrone's place was, by far, our favorite. The ocean view was very soothing and wonderful. It was tempting to just chill out there and miss the things to see in Victoria, but we did tear ourselves away to take in the Butchart Gardens and other Victoria sites. The place itself was so thoughtfully appointed and efficient. Em and Tyrone were immediately responsive to questions and directions. I highy recommend Em and Tyrone's place to stay when in the Victoria area.

Shawnigan Lake Family Retreat

Had a great stay at Lindsay’s cottage on the lake, despite mostly crappy weather. We were a groups of 5 friends getting together for a long weekend of gravel cycling. Convenient access to the Cowichan Valley Rail Trail and other back roads nearby. Accommodation worked well for us with space in the basement to keep our bikes dry. Cooked most of our dinners in the well supplied kitchen. Nice TV with cable allowed us to watch the NHL playoffs in the evenings. Didn’t get to take advantage of the lakefront amenities due to the weather. Would definitely do this again. Thanks Lindsay!

Excellent stay at Elk Lake! We had an excellent stay at Kyle's place by Elk lake. It was very roomy and had all the amenities listed. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The rooms very very big and had plenty of floor and closet space. The outside has a nice deck and is private. It is easy walking access to both the 10km Elk Lake loop (excellent for running) and the Bear Hill hike. We were at a sporting event at the Commonwealth centre and found that because we were outside of downtown, we could be at the centre, the beach, or a grocery store within a 7 min drive. We had 5 adults but could easily fit 8. We messaged Kyle a few times and he was always quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Kyle!

Lola and Kenney's place was exactly as described. The location was great for visiting my family nearby, however, it is further from downtown if that's what you would like to do. The place was clean and their instructions were great for parking and for getting into the airbnb.
