Studio by the Beach with Separate Entrance

Open the sliding door to let the gentle sea breezes waft in and settle down to stream a favorite show on the Smart TV. The interior blends coastal touches with boho chic, and there are little luxuries like a work space and secluded private outdoor space. I adhere to the CDC cleaning protocols. I use UV C light for added disinfecting and sanitizing of the Studio, and have also added a Dyson air purifying fan and heater to insure you have clean air. This studio is located on the first floor of my three story home. The studio shares the first floor with the garage so you don't have any shared walls. You have two windows, one in the bathroom and a sliding glass door in the bedroom, they bring in light and the sea breeze but have no views. While this studio is private you may hear footsteps above, music drifting in from other parts of the house, and the sounds that come from everyday living. You'll have one parking space available on the right side of the driveway. More free parking is usually available at the end of the street, 15 houses down on panama. During the day there's extra parking at kiddie beach. I live on the two top floors of the house so i'm easily accessible for as much or as little interaction as needed. The setting on a quiet street is only half a block from channel Island harbors Kiddie Beach and 1.5 blocks to Silver Strand Beach, a popular surf spot and vantage point for catching the sunset. Watch for whales and discover a yoga studio, corner market, and salon, all only moments away. Hollywood by the sea has unique sounds too. You'll hear sea lions, boat horns, and on occasion a fog horn. Every morning at 8am you'll hear our national anthem, and at sunset you'll hear taps. You'll have to pay attention or you'll miss it. It's one of many thing I love about this area.

Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The host was extremely responsive with our questions on how to use the ac. The trash cans were full when we arrived and that made it a little difficult during clean up when we needed to throw out our trash, but we made it work. The kitchen was stocked with everything we need, including basic seasoning. The location of the house is perfect as there were many stores near by that we could grab last minute items from. We were less than 10 minutes from the beach. Downfall was how busy the street was when trying to pull in and out of the drive way, I would suggest back parking when you get the chance. I also wish check out was at a later time but it seems to be the standard 10am check out. A 12pm checkout time at the latest will always be my suggestion to all hosts. The stay in the home with our family was great and I would recommend staying in this home.

In one word, “incredible”. Absolutely the most charming, comfortable, private place to stay in Santa Barbara County. Delia provided easy instructions and no contact was necessary due to her excellent communication skills. The Airstream felt like we were “camping out”, yet had all the amenities of a 5 Star hotel, as said, incredible. We highly recommend anyone that is looking for a place to stay in the area (about 15 minutes to downtown Santa Barbara) to step out of the box of the standard hotel and stay here. You won’t regret it!
