We loved staying here. The house was quiet and in a gated community. We had everything we needed - plenty of pillows, blankets, etc. Kitchen was well equipped, and there was enough space for each of us to have our own space away from each other. Slightly further out from town, but that’s what we wanted. We chose this place because it seemed to have some typical Costa Rican charm! Would recommend!

I can't say enough about how good the house was. Elidier was a better host than words could say, he helped to arrange some extras for my wife's birthday that really made the stay above and beyond. The house was clean, beautiful, private and safe. If you need a house in the La Fortuna area look no further, this is the place. You will not find a better host than Elidier.

We had a great short stay, could return already to continue discovering the many things to do, bathing, hiking, and the like. We enjoyed our stay! It's a nice, clean home with scenic views in an authentic, safe community. We bought a few basics for breakfast (eggs, queso blanco, milk, coffee, juice) at the nearby community mini-market (a few blocks away) so we could make breakfast at the place. If you want fresh fruits & veggies, you should stop at a bigger market on your way (La Fortuna? Or El Castillo?). We ate dinner twice at the nearby La Terraza restaurant, which was good. We loved the batidos de fruta (fruit smoothies/shakes - 'de leche' ('of milk') . My favorite is the batido de papaya (de leche). My kids also tried the strawberry, pineapple, maracuya (and I think others, too!). We enjoyed the dishes we had there, too. Internet at the house can be spotty, but there's some cell reception, too. If you're on vacation and just checking your email from time to time and researching things to do in the area, it's fine; if you're looking to be a digital nomad, this is probably not the place for you.

AMAZING. Such a beautiful and peaceful place, the view is WAY better in real, the room are big and clean with hot water, really a piece of paradise!!! The only thing to know, there is a breakfast for a great price available. Otherwise you need to think to buy some food to eat. It is not far away from the little town where you have a few restaurants (maybe 1-2?), a little convenient store and a place to get meat but it is a bumpy road to come back to get it, so think ahead and buy it before you get there!

We loved how close to town we were but still seemed private and secluded! The area was calm and quiet we loved having breakfast outside our cabin! The area surrounding was stunning the inside was spotless !!! We also met their friendly little kitten! Place was awesome can’t stop thinking about it can’t wait for the next time we are in La Fortuna.!

Wonderful stay! Very private location a bit off the beaten path. The home was comfortable and the gardens are gorgeous! Milton showed us around and taught us how to eat green mango. We felt very safe at his place. Loved getting local tips and info from him and his wife. Just felt like we were staying with family.

Very beautiful place and property! The views are stunning everywhere you look. If you are looking for a peaceful, remote stay, this is it! Given its remoteness and surrounding road conditions, highly recommend a 4x4 and comfortable vehicle, along with groceries for a couple days. Diego + Christina were very responsive and provided great suggestions of things to do and see around the area and property. Don’t snooze on horseback riding with Hilario right on the property - it’s amazing and the views are very beautiful!

When we first checked in we were immediately dismayed by one of the beds because it was so loud with any movement. There also was no longer a bunk bed, which our kids had been looking forward to. There was no hot water to the kitchen sink (or bathroom sinks), which made washing dishes less than ideal. Even with those issues, our multi-generational group of 8 loved our stay. The property is simply amazing; being right on the edge of the jungle means there are so many birds and animals moving through...we always woke up early and just spent the first couple of hours outside walking around and seeing what we could see. I would recommend it, and go back again...provided the one bed had been replaced.

Thank you for a wonderful stay outside of La Fortuna. Accommodations were fabulous. Air worked well, chef was amazing, and space was exactly as described. There is a reason this home has so many y 5 star reviews. Magdalena is always responsive immediately and available for any needs. Highly recommend!

Fresia's place was exactly as it was described and as it was in the pictures. It worked perfectly for the three of us with a great location that was easy to find. It was very quiet and peaceful yet within a short drive to many of the local attractions and restaurants. I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again!

Cute and humble home with BEAUTIFUL views. Lots of beds in the rooms. One of the rooms has AC unit and does well cooling the home. Hosts are so kind and helpful. Ask about tours too, we toured with Daniel and he was GREAT! Definitely need a car or hire transport, home is in a little remote area but that allows for such beautiful views of the volcano. I’d definitely stay again
