Exceptional river views

n the heart of the Loire Valley, along the Thouet River: a 700 square foot converted barn (newly renovated) with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

Nice 75 m2 house in tuffeau typical of the area, 2 steps from the Loire and a few kilometers from the center of Saumur. Quiet. Ideal for discovering our beautiful region. We had a great stay with my family! The accommodation is very nice, perfectly equipped and really comfortable, it immediately feels like home. The bedding is of very good quality, and the surrounding calm allows total rest. We were lucky enough to enjoy the garden and its facilities, a real plus. Benjamin is a very friendly and responsive host. We highly recommend and will be back with great pleasure!

We really enjoyed the place and we felt very comfortable there. The rooms are spacious and bright, the amenities are new, practical and numerous, the bedding is very comfortable, with the bonus of a welcoming entrance area including a cloakroom and a foosball table. The view is exceptional and we appreciate it all the more because the living rooms overlook the Loire. Despite the proximity to the road, the accommodation is very quiet and has a very authentic character. For tall people, the attic spaces are sometimes a bit low, but they have a crazy charm - and one of the rooms that has a higher ceiling suited them perfectly. Anaïs was a very attentive and responsive host, which helped make our stay an experience we will remember for a long time.

Loved our stay in this beautiful quiet house in a charming village. Pretty garden and courtyard very pleasant in good weather. The very cozy upper living room with its stove for rainy days. Lodging well-equipped and nice bedding. Plenty of tourist documentation and information about regional products. A lot to discover nearby. Thanks to Patrice for his warm welcome, for us and our dog (walled garden).
