Vacation rentals with lake access in Eastern states of Australia

Absolutely stunning views, you walk outside the sliding doors that overlooked the pool and it is breathtaking. The house was in very clean condition. I was able to take my children to the stables that’s on the property to feed the horses, donkeys and dogs. The kangaroos came to the front of the property each morning. Honestly a 10/10. Hosts were very helpful too, were super responsive and helped me find a private chef that came out to the property. Thanks again

I always stay at Whale Watchers. Angela is super easy to communicate with and makes your stay hassle free. The house is really beautiful, light airy and the view is next level. I stay in many homes and hotels travelling for work. Whale Watchers I always look forward to and enjoy so much it’s hard to leave.

Great location and great fireplace and pit, close to Beechworth, an interesting bathroom design a little chilly bit i admired the architecture and if you like minimalist space this is great ], great host help us oldies with the oven an accommodating on the firewood, true representation in the pictures, a beautiful weekend

We had an amazing weekend getaway at this pretty house! The property was peaceful, clean, and just as described, with breathtaking views of the river. We spent our time fishing, kayaking, and even got to drive the boat provided, which was such a unique and unforgettable experience. It really made the trip feel special and adventurous. The host was responsive and made everything from check-in to check-out super easy. A perfect spot to relax, explore, and enjoy nature—highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem. It’s great for a retreat from the hustling and bustling life, and transport you back into nature. It’s very secluded, but it is meant to be the way it is. A Stonehill retreat. If you are looking for something that is near town, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a tranquil, peaceful place, I would recommend it 200%! Jacqui was also extremely helpful in her travel directions, and took extra effort to provide us with some oil when we ran out. Thanks much!

We loved relaxing in the morning sun on the deck, peaceful kayaking on the lake and the toasty hot tub. All the things for a perfect winter break. The house was spacious and well equipped, with plenty of spots to relax and watch the world go by.

I can't reccomend Soul Beach Bungalow enough. The pictures do not do it justice. A beautiful private terrace to relax. An amazingly equipped kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Everything has been considered and the whole place was spotless. The hosts were amazing - always there to answer any question and assist. Finally location is awsome and just a short walk to the beach. thanks Soul Beach Bungalow for a great stay.

this is our second stay and again absolutely loved being here we will 100% be return guests it's a home away from just 1 million times better. If you're a single traveller or a couple looking for peaceful, affordable accommodation in Mallacoota, Arlene's place is a great choice. We stayed overnight and thoroughly appreciated all that her space had on offer, which included a nice bedroom, living area, small kitchen and bathroom with as nice deep bathtub. Arlene has clearly put a lot of thought into making sure her guests are comfortable and catered for as we found everything we needed and didn't once need to contact her with any questions or issues. While we didn't get to meet Arlene in person, she was a very friendly communicator and provided very clear check-in instructions. All-in-all we enjoyed our short stay immensely and will definitely be returning when we visit Mallacoota next.

I enjoyed a 3 night stay with my dog at Karlee’s studio, which matched our expectations and met our needs. It was clean and comfortable, with enough space, and well equipped - such as what you’d need in the kitchen, though I ate out. The outdoor courtyard was a pleasant place to unwind. There was plenty of room to park, even when there was someone next door, and overall it’s a quiet residential location, though with easy access to the main road and Byron Bay. The small local shopping centre boasts an excellent bakery, with coffee to match and fresh croissants that can’t be beaten, as well as the local pub. There are pleasant lakeside walks and a long beach nearby. The price was very competitive. I look forward to staying there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s BnB. The place was very clean, nicely appointed, and comfortable throughout. Parking was easy, and the views of Melbourne were stunning. It’s a great location—very convenient to Southbank and central Melbourne, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Sarah was a very responsive and helpful host, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

A beautiful quiet place, walking distance to near marina and small shops. Would stay there again.

Our extended stay at "the Muddy" was excellent. Although Ean and Chris were on holiday during our stay, we were well taken care of by Matt and Alex. Matt was very friendly and responsive to anything we needed the entire time. The location was very private and just as expected from the pictures, and description with all amenities we could need. The kitchen was easy to prepare meals when not dining out, and sitting out front in the morning watching the birds was entertaining. I would definitely go back again sometime.

We loved staying at the Muddy. We stayed for two nights during a cold spell. The fire was lit for our arrival and we were warm and cosy. Cathie and Michael were friendly and welcoming. The Muddy is private, very quiet, beautifully furnished and has a peaceful outlook - yet it's only three minutes' drive to town. We enjoyed a day hike in the Cathedral ranges. This is a gem of a home - we highly recommend a stay here for anyone looking for somewhere close to Melbourne (just over two hours) in peaceful countryside.

Our family of six absolutely adored our stay at the Cottage. From the moment we arrived, Ann made us feel incredibly welcome, truly making it a home away from home. Despite the wet weather, the cottage was wonderfully warm and cozy, thanks to both the efficient air conditioners and the charming chimney – perfect for relaxing evenings. The house itself was impeccably clean and felt fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We honestly loved every single thing about our visit and can't wait to come back again soon!

We had a great time. Sue took the time to show us around the paddocks and to feed the animals. We could then roam the paddocks at our leisure. The accommodation was just as described and had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend away.

Great stay, no complications and beautiful views. The place is lovely and separated enough from the house that it feels like its own little home. Aaron made the check in and check out super easy and was very accommodating with any of our needs - but thanks to the ease of the stay we didn’t need to reach out at all! Lola, their puppy, was also a lovely morning surprise when she would greet us at the door. 100% would recommend to anyone!

Paul is an excellent host — Always responsive and helpful, offering tips on what to do in the area and checking if we had everything we needed. I feel like I have no words to describe the place; it is simply perfect. I was looking for a nice place to take my mom, and I was amazed when we arrived. The house has everything you need, the fireplace is great and makes it very cozy. The bedrooms include heaters and the beds have electric blankets. The kitchen has everything you need and the garden is just wow. I would definitely visit again. Thank you again, Paul, for the wonderful time you gave us :)
