Pet-friendly vacation rentals in East Lothian

Had a lovely brief stay at Nick's as we were visiting family in Musselburgh. Very convenient to the train and for getting to Edinburgh Waverly. Clean and comfortable, toasty warm and comfy large bed. We will happily come back when we are next in town.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Gary's house and wanted to share my experience. The place was impeccably clean and tidy, making it a comfortable retreat. I appreciated how well-equipped it was, with everything I needed readily available. Additionally, having parking available was a significant bonus. I will definitely look to stay here again during my next visit to Edinburgh! Highly recommended!

A really lovely and well-kept accommodation, close to Edinburgh but set in a beautiful country estate. The cottage itself is spacious, cosy and very well equipped. If you have dogs and/or small children it’s ideal, as you can walk from the doorstep without dealing with any busy roads. There’s an excellent fenced off area which keeps your dogs penned in. If you’re a cook, the equipment is very good and plenty of utensils. Children’s bib and plate also available, toys in the sitting room. Heating is very efficient and we were provided firewood which was nice. Definitely recommend for families for cosy holidays and outdoors activities and also good proximity to Edinburgh- the local towns also have trains to the city.

We visited North Berwick for a wedding and Jo’s house was in a perfect location for our trip. The space was ideal for the 4 of us and the beds were amazingly comfortable. It was close enough to the sea that a walk down took only a few minutes.

Really super place, and perfect for our family of 5 as we visited various relatives around the area. The beds were very comfortable and the wood burner made it so cosy in the dark February evenings. Splendid view out! We’ll definitely stay again!

The Haven is a great place to stay near the centre of Dunbar, easily walkable to lots of interesting places and activities. All the amenities of the house were ideal and it was pleasantly warm and cozy. The proximity of the parking just across the little road was ideal. This property would make an ideal location for a family holiday near the beach, play park and indoor swimming pool. Lots of good pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance and good takeaway places and convenience stores near to hand.

Annie’s house was perfect for a big family getaway. The space is lovely and so comfortable, with everything you need. The location is fantastic, really beautiful surroundings and great walks. 5 mins drive from towns supermarkets, beaches, and lovely local shops. Annie was so friendly and helpful too, highly recommend!

What an amazing place to stay. It was spotless, well equipped and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. Morag provided lots of information to ensure that our stay went as smoothly as possible.

Perfect place to stay for a few days on a budget. About 10min walk from bus stops that led to the city, took about an hour to get into the city from here. Owners always got back with us quickly and were so kind. I reccommend staying here if you want more of a cozy stay away from the city!

A beautiful, warm and delightful holiday home. Few mins walk to the beach and on a lovely holiday park with great facilities for children and dogs. Amazingly stocked kitchen equipment and such comfy beds and bedding. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back!

A very cozy caravan, in the middle of nature, on the edge of a town with birds chirping and lots of peace. The interior is equipped with everything you need to make you feel at home.

A great place to spend your vacation, or just a few days to relax and get away from the routine. Very attentive host and great to negotiate with.

We enjoyed our stay. Phil and Jude were very friendly and helpful. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 1 child. When we first saw inside the house it was more than we expected. The sun shining in through the windows, lovely and warm made us feel relaxed and comfortable. As we all came from different parts of Regional Australia, for us it was what we were looking for, quiet, spacious and close to attractions and extended family. The walks through the countryside were beautiful and the locals we met were very friendly. It is a lovely place to stay with very kind and attentive hosts.

This upstairs apartment in a charming Scottish village gave us a peaceful, cozy home base while exploring the Dunbar area. We appreciated the high-speed internet, up-to-date appliances and super-comfy sofa. Robert is a very responsive, helpful host who answered all our questions promptly.

All the previous positive reviews are true, had a very lovely stay with an enclosed backyard for pets. Very communicative throughout and checked up in person.

What a lovely find, the apartment was exactly how Sandra and Gillian described, the extra personal touches like fresh flowers in a vase on the window, milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine were a lovely bonus. Hosts were very responsive and thoughtful and the place was perfect. We can't wait to come back again.

Me and my girlfriend who visited all the way from Buenos Aires thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Its a completely unique experience and was a nice contrast from the busy city of Edinburgh. The host Patrick was always at the end of our questions making everything hassle free. Nature surrounds this spot and if you are quiet you may see some of the furry residents too! 🇦🇷♥️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Had a lovely few days at this cute and comfortable cottage. Found lots to do within walking distance and further afield. I’m sure we’ll be back in this area in the not too distant future.
