Wendy’s Airbnb is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re having to walk at all. Wendy will greet you upon arrival, and I found her to be incredibly friendly and personable-she’s truly great to chat with and was very accommodating throughout my stay. She and her husband reside upstairs which makes for quick and easy communication. Personally I find it valuable when the host is on site as it makes it feel safer, and I’ve had issues at other properties where hosts weren’t present. I’d seen this ad before but hesitated because it’s a basement apartment. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised-it’s much brighter and more welcoming than the ad suggests. The apartment was very clean, the bed is soft and comfortable and coffee pods are provided, which is all I really ask for when staying somewhere.🙂The beautiful little backyard is obviously well-tended, and there’s an area where you can sit out in the sun. This Airbnb feels like a home away from home, and I’d stay again.

We loved staying at Cassandra’s place! It was beautiful, the place is clean and cozy. It has everything that we need for a weekend stay in the north shore area. Close to state parks and the area is nice to explore. Definitely would recommend!

We were made to feel very welcome at Nele and Ivan’s Airbnb and truly enjoyed staying in Thunder Bay. Everything we needed was at hand, with tv, washer and dryer, coffee machine, blankets….all very comforting. Instructions were clear. We visited locations close by such as Boulevard Lake, Hillcrest Park, Goods and Co, and Nook. We’d highly recommend staying here.

Definitely recommend staying here! Keith was very friendly and responsive after booking and leading up to our stay. Right away, we noticed how clean everything was. This really made the space comfortable. Everything is also updated and modern, which was really nice. We stayed here to take a class at the Folk School, and we were so glad we chose to stay here, as it was only a couple of blocks away. Also, it's within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. What a beautiful location! The only minor thing we noticed is that the space had a musty smell. It was something you could get used to, and it is likely due to the age of the building. It could have also been because of the time of year (early May). This still wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

Great place to stay, it was clean and just as described. I would stay there again.

I stayed here for three days with my wife and 2-month-old daughter. We received a warm welcome from Robert and Chester. We also got to meet Emmy Lou the following day. We loved everything about the stay. We woke up to the beautiful sounds of nature and felt one with it as we walked around the place. Robert recommended some local spots that we couldn't find on Google, and we enjoyed them. He was always ready to help us feel at home, and we recommend his place for anyone visiting Thunder Bay. P.S.: If you like "The Outdoor Boys", then you'll enjoy interacting with Robert, learning about his projects, the place and everything about the overall experience.

Amanda was very easy to communicate with and friendly. I would’ve stayed more than one night if the situation were different. There is a lot to do in the area. The unit was very attractive and clean. Also, the checkout procedure was seamless.

A very clean place. While it's an older house, including the basement, Alanna goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The price is very reasonable, and the host is incredibly responsive. The family resides on the main level, but they are quiet and respectful, ensuring a peaceful stay. If you're looking for an affordable option, I highly recommend this place.

As advertised, clean, quiet and comfortable! Beds were fantastic, haven't slept that well in months! Would recommend!

Feels like home away from home. Danielle anticipated our needs and was a step ahead check in and out. Home was clean, neat and organized and had everything we need for our stay. Brand new deck, yard is huge and easy parking. Close to major roads and highway so getting around is easy. Great hostess!!! Will be back again next visit

This house is in Hovland on the North Shore (relatively close to the Canadian border), and the view from the house of Lake Superior is breathtaking. You can just sit there and enjoy it. The home is well-equipped, with a lovely wood-burning fireplace (it made an especially lovely aroma in the house). We also liked the charming river bordering the property, it's literally a small river going through which gives more feelings of wilderness. Easy access to Grand Marais, Lutsen, and Grand Portage, and also to abundant hiking trails, which we really enjoyed.

What can you say? This home has a gorgeous private black sand beach in a small cove directly below the house. So beautiful and peaceful, especially at sunrise and sunset. The house itself is lovely with very nice linens and super comfortable beds and pillows and a charming cabin vibe. The kitchen is well stocked. The location is fantastic- near Split Rock lighthouse, Tettegouche and Gooseberry Falls. The communication about how to check in and what amenities are available is incredibly detailed and helpful. We would love to stay here again!

Very nice experience. It was an unbelievablely beautiful house (photos don't do it justice). The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Cedar Cove for 5 nights with our extended family with an age range of 18 months to 80 years. This house is a perfect place for a multi generation get together. Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the beautiful house and furnishings. There are multiple sitting areas and the beds are extremely comfortable. The view of Lake Superior is gorgeous. The house is very well equipped with all the kitchen ware we could have needed. It is also stocked with many good books, puzzles and games. It is a perfect place to get away and relax.

We loved our stay at Iver’s Place! Great location for a North Shore getaway. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Thank you Crystal for sharing your clean, well organized home with us. It truly was the perfect place for us as a family to celebrate our granddaughter‘s graduation. We had great weather so appreciated the barbeque and the large private yard. It truly was a home away from home.

Had a wonderful, albeit too short, stay at the moose condo! It was so nice being right on the lake. Everything in the condo was just as described and I really appreciated that coffee was provided. Scott was also very responsive. I’d stay here again.

On both nights of the stay, host reached out to let us know if we stepped outside we may be able to see the northern lights. Before the stay, had several lists of recommendations and things to do in the area. Quick response time and very friendly. The condo is in a beautiful, serene location that is perfect to escape to.

A very well designed space for a family of four- nice deck and walk down to the rocks by Lake Superior. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed! We’d definitely reserve again!

This was my first visit to the North Shore (WOW!) and Mikhala's space made it perfect! The view of Lake Superior was stunning and I enjoyed having morning coffee on the walkout patio. The space was very clean and the bed super comfortable. I appreciated the well stocked toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels, blankets, and pillow options. Tofte was a great central hub for all the hiking trails on my bucket list + Grand Marais was an easy/beautiful drive and I highly recommend eating at the Angry Trout - it was best meal I've had in a very long time! I loved it here so much I extended my stay an extra night. Highly recommend, especially if a solo traveler like me.

We had a great stay! Our second annual girls trip here and we had a blast. The condo is very clean and super cute.

Abby and Zach were excellent hosts! She provided thorough information on the check in as well as little things to know about the space. I appreciated the mid-stay "I hope all is going well" communication, and it was aj added bonus to meet them up in the common area while we were there - super nice and helpful folks. Also? This may be one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in while traveling! Thanks again for sharing a fantastic space in a beautiful location with us.

This was a very comfortable, well appointed, very well-kept condo in a quiet building in a great location. Provided were many thoughtful and surprising additions such as hammock chairs, daypacks, flashlights, a bench in the hallway for removing shoes, self-care products, cereals, coffee and condiments. We cooked a lot for ourselves in a very well-stocked kitchen making it a good value. We would definitely return to rent here.

Vienna’s a wonderful host! The place is so cozy and quiet. Perfect for a weekend get away. We will be back for sure!
